This article is so timely for me because I was literally just thinking about how I should decorate my front door for Halloween. I wanted to do something special and unique that wouldn’t require too much time, effort or money but still looked spooktacular.
So I’ve stumbled upon a few ideas and you gotta help me decide which way to go.
1. Spooky Skeleton

This is such a fun and easy Halloween door. All you need is a white plastic table cover for the door and black one for the shapes.
2. Mummy Door

Doesn’t this mummy door look adorable? Just wrap toilet paper around your entire door and make a cut out of monster eyes to get this cool mummy effect.
3. Pumpkin Door

This is such a cute DIY Halloween project. You can accomplish it with orange fabric, some garbage bag cutouts and poster board for the leaves. So cool!
4. Go Batty

If you don’t want to wrap your entire door but still want a spooky effect cut out a bunch of paper bats and create a swarm.
5. Spider Door

If you want something even more simple, this idea rocks. All you really need is plastic spiders that you can stick to your door with double-sided tape. Creepy.
6. Yellow Monster Door

I bet your kids will love this idea. And I absolutely dig the effect when you actually open the door. Perfect to welcome your trick-or-treaters.
7. “Keep Out” Door

What exactly happened behind this door? Cut out various pieces out of cardboard to create this boarded up door effect and voila.
8. Googly Eye Door

Finally, a decorating idea where you can use all those fun googly eyes. It works whether your door is black or any other color.
9. Spider Web Door

This really effective spider web door can be created with a bunch of white yarn. It looks complicated but it’s super easy and fun.
10. Jack Skellington Door

This is probably the easiest DIY project you can attempt if you have a white door. Literally, all you need is black garbage bags, paper, or fabric to create this design.
11. Spooky Wreath

This looks so pretty and spooky at the same time. You just need to buy a plain wreath from the dollar store and decorate it with bats.
12. Caution Tape Door

If you’re super lazy and don’t want to splurge on any Halloween decor just get some yellow caution tape for your door. Really.
13. B****y Hands Door

If gore is what you’re looking for, making this b****y hands door is a breeze. Get a white sheet and go to town with red paint.
14. Paper Bag Monster

If you can believe it, this monster was made with paper bags. When all the Halloween fun is over you can simply recycle this decoration.
15. Scary Arch

This clever decoration was made with some foam board from the hardware store. It’s really the placement of this DIY that makes it pop.
Which idea should I go with?
I’m leaning towards the swarm of bats or the big spider web idea. I think they’re both super easy and look really effective.
