Everything seemed like it was meant to be when the couple rekindled their love after a broken engagement.
Sadly, they filed for divorce eight months after they wed, with lots of cheating and substance abuse allegations coming out shortly after.
2. Fred Armisen and Elizabeth Moss – 8 months
The pair met in 2008 when Moss’s Mad Men co-star, Jon Hamm, hosted Saturday Night Live .
A year later, they were married and eight months after that, it was over. According to Moss, the reasons for their divorce were pretty bad.
“Looking back, I feel like I was really young, and at the time I didn’t think that I was that young,” she told *Vulture*.
“It was extremely traumatic and awful and horrible.” Yikes! Fred later admitted that he was a “terrible husband.”
3. Drew Barrymore and Tom Green: 163 days
This quirky couple seemed like a match made in heaven.
They ended up eloping in 2001 , only for Green to file for divorce five months later. According to Green in 2014, they’re no longer on speaking terms.
4. Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chesney – 4 months
Kenny and Renee’s turbulent marriage ended just four months after it began. Instead of a divorce, the couple chose to get an annulment and cited fraud.
This led many at the time to question Chesney’s sexual orientation .
In an interview with The Advocate, the actress even forgot about her marriage to Chesney.
“It’s a pretty big thing to forget, isn’t it? That made me sad,” she said .
“It made me sad that somehow people were using that as a way to be cruel and calling someone gay as a pejorative, which has fateful consequences.”
5. Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush – 163 days
Given their history together on One Tree Hill , fans of the show were rooting for the couple to make it.
Unfortunately, the honeymoon phase didn’t last long as five months after they tied the knot in 2005, Bush filed for an annulment on the basis of fraud in 2006.
6. Nicolas Cage and Lisa Marie Presley – 107 days
There was a special meaning behind Lisa’s wedding to the actor. She wed him on the 25th anniversary of her father, Elvis Presley’s, death.
Sadly, things didn’t last as they split up three months later.
7. Jennifer Lopez and Cris Judd – 8 Months
Given how in love they looked in pictures, fans were hopeful that this match would work.
Unfortunately, the media attention got to be too much for the backup dancer. “You’re no longer a normal person,” Judd once said .
8. Mario Lopez and Ali Landry – 2 weeks
Since they dated for six years, the odds were stacked in their favor for them to last.
They even weathered the fact that Mario had cheated with another woman just days before his wedding to the model.
There’s a good chance the betrayal eventually caught up to Landry, though, as she filed for an annulment 18 days later.
When speaking on The Howard Stern Show , Lopez said that hadn’t been ready to settle down and that he “wasn’t man enough” to handle the situation correctly.

While you would think these two would be perfect for each other, life had a different idea.
They got married on a yacht in the summer of 2006, but by the time it was fall, the couple had already split .

The actor married the Blue Bloods star in 2006. Their marriage was short-lived, as they called it quits that May. According to Cooper, it was mutual.

Clearly, he learned nothing from his short marriage to Lisa Marie Presley.

“I dropped everything for Pam. She had almost $200,000 in bills and no way to pay it so I paid it and this is the thanks I get. There’s no fool like an old fool,” he wrote . Yikes!

After that fairytale wedding cost $10 million, how could we not root for the couple to last?
