Actors and actresses actually have to work pretty long hours. Sometimes they have a shoot in the middle of the night and might get a little cranky because of it.
So what better way to pass the time than to stage some pranks on fellow co-stars?
“I’ll be there for you.”
In We’re the Millers , Jason Sudeikis, Will Poulter, and Emma Roberts pranked Jennifer Aniston.
They played the Friends theme song, instead of the song that was supposed to be playing.
Jennifer Lawrence had the fright of her life on the set of ‘The Hunger Games’.
Jeffrey Wright gave Jennifer Lawrence a Tiffany box. Sounds cute right?
H**l no. The box was filled with crickets. Count us out.
Merry in ‘The Lord of the Rings’ was a prankster.
Dominic Monaghan, who played Merry loved to play pranks, but one day the crew decided to get revenge.
In a reworked scene, they made Dominic hold Billy Boyd for a long time, after their clothes got stuck on a tree.
This prank is actually kind of sweet.
Ryan Kwanten could definitely pull this prank on me.
On the True Blood set, he filled the cameraman’s car with ladybugs. That’s actually a beautiful prank.
Ian Somerhalder pranked Nina Dobrev on the set of ‘The Vampire Diaries’.
While shooting a love scene, Somerhalder decided to do something a little crazy.
“We had elephant ears and double-stick tape, and I put them on each of my thighs,” said Somerhalder. We’re sure Nina’s reaction was hilarious.
Mindy Kaling and Kelly were both liars on ‘The Office’.
Mindy kind of resembled her character, in the end.
She told her co-star and on-screen lover, B.J. Novak ridiculous lies. Poor Novak believed them all.
Before Chris Pratt became Star-Lord, he was on ‘Parks and Recreation’.
And he was a genius.
In a scene where Leslie was meant to find Andy naked, instead of wearing n**e underwear, Chris Pratt was actually naked.
On the set of ‘Star Wars’, Harrison Ford was a menace.
Instead of letting a day be normal, Harrison Ford decided to throw caution to the wind on set. Ford hid naked in Carrie Fisher’s closet and pretended he was dead.
Poor Carrie.
George Clooney got the wardrobe department on his side.
On the set of The Monuments Men , Damon was trying to lose some weight.
Unfortunately for him, Clooney had his friends in the wardrobe department take-in Damon’s pants every so often, to make him think he was gaining.
Speaking of George Clooney.
On the set of Ocean’s Twelve Brad Pitt decided to get back at Clooney for the ongoing prank war they had.
He wrote a note to the crew asking them not to look Clooney in the eye, and that they should all refer to him as Mr. Ocean.
The f**t prank never goes out of style.
On the set of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban , Alan Rickman decided to prank the main star.
He planted a f**t machine in Daniel Radcliffe’s sleeping bag.
The case of the neutron cream.
Spoiler alert: it doesn’t exist.
Benedict Cumberbatch’s co-stars made it up, and said it was a safety cream. It turns out he’s not much like Sherlock Holmes.
Julia Roberts really likes to knit.
On the set of Larry Crowne in 2011, Roberts would knit.
One day, her co-star Tom Hanks told every person on set to knit when Roberts arrived on set, to shock and surprise her.
Moon of my life.
Jason Momoa, who played Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones , had a very interesting acting process when he had love scenes.
He wore a fluffy pink sock, making it quite the effort for Emilia to keep a straight face.
Pie Day.
The number of pies that have been thrown on the set of Supernatural are too much to actually count.
However, what started out as a prank war amongst Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins, and Jensen Ackles, soon turned into a charity.
