Drinking Buddies , The O.C. , Booksmart , The Lazarus Effect , and TRON: Legacy star, Olivia Wilde , has managed to keep a fairly low profile in Hollywood for someone that has accomplished as much as she has.
Not only is she an actress, but she is also a film director! On and off the big screen, she has remained wildly underrated.
Here are some interesting facts about Olivia that fans didn’t know!
1. If she could go back in time, she would have liked to witness “The burning of Joan of Arc”.

“I’d grab her and run and tell her that in the future Miley Cyrus is our saint and Joan must learn the art of twerking,” she wrote on Reddit .
2. She has a tattoo on her wrist paying tribute to her late uncle.

“It’s in honor of my late uncle Alexander Cockburn. He was a dear dear friend. The tattoo is the last phrase he wrote to me. All love, A. It reminds me to love everyone, just as he did,” she revealed on Reddit .

4. She has a very eclectic taste in music.

“The new National album is great. Also Kendrick Lamar. I’m all over the place,” she wrote on Reddit when asked who some of her favorite artists are.
Personally, I would love to sit down with Wilde and talk about music with her.
5. She struggled fitting in with other kids when she was in school.

“When I was in school I felt constantly judged unfairly. There was a sense that if you were friends with boys – if you were sex-positive feminist in your own way – then you couldn’t possibly be smart,” she told Elle .
6. She loves to dance.

She told Shape that while she can understand how most people might be traumatized by ballet lessons or something similar, for her, it was nothing but a good experience.
Dancing can be super therapeutic if given the chance!

“Listen, baby or no baby, getting out of the house to exercise is a serious achievement. If you’re going to haul your behind to a class, it’s not going to be for anyone else; not your partner, nemesis, mother, or tabloid bloggers-just you. And your special relationship with your own damn fat cells. For me, the bottom line (pun intended) is that the workout is fun .”

When asked on Reddit what her alcoholic beverage of choice typically is, she answered plainly and without hesitation: “Beer, dude. Beer.”
A woman who knows what she wants! Respect. I’m partial to the more fruity drinks myself.
8. She has plenty of hobbies outside of acting and directing.

She told a fan on Reddit that, like most people, she enjoys reading, hanging out with her friends, and playing with her dog. Oh, and, of course, eating.
Honestly, sounds like a great time.

She wrote on Reddit that he was just “wonderful”, which is not hard to imagine if you’ve seen any of his interviews!
I’m sure watching him perform is just magical.
11. If she never got into show biz, she would have owned her own brewery instead.

“If not an actress I’d definitely work at Revolution Brewery in Chicago,” she told a fan via Reddit .
This seems to be very fitting, considering how much she loves beer!
12. She has never seen *Breaking Bad*.

It’s hard to imagine that there are people in this world who have never seen the divine masterpiece that was Breaking Bad , let alone a Hollywood actress. But Olivia has admitted to never seeing it, and feeling like a failure because of it.
“Because I’ve failed as a human,” she said when asked by a fan on Reddit why she has never watched the series.
12. She has always known that she wanted to be an actress.

“I’ve always wanted to be an actress. But it almost feels like I’ve just gotten started. Success in this business comes from doing projects you truly care about and give everything to,” she told a fan on Reddit .
13. Hollywood’s obsession with looks “grosses” her out.

“It is remarkable that I am 35 years old and this is the first job I’ve ever had that wasn’t entirely dependent on and connected to my looks. It grosses me out to acknowledge it, but I’ve been thinking a lot about it,” she told Cinema Blend .
