Yeah, yeah, yeah, no need to be smug you sneaky fan theorists. Sometimes you’re right.
Sometimes, however, you guys take it too far. But we’re here to talk about the parts that you guys actually got RIGHT!
1. Boba Fett survived
This theory was made mostly because Star Wars fans think Boba Fett is an amazing character, and didn’t want him to die so easily .
Well, the expanded universe took care of that. Stories were made where he escaped the pit.
2. Khan changed his appearance

Wonder how Khan could’ve gone from looking like Benedict Cumberbatch in Star Trek: Into Darkness to looking like Ricardo Montalban in Star Trek: The Wrath Of Khan ?
It’s because, just as fans suspected, he changes his appearance .
3. Palpatine destroys Darth Plagueis
Have you ever heard the tale of Darth Plagueis the Wise in Star Wars ? The one where, in the end, the apprentice kills the master? Have you ever wondered who that apprentice is?
It was Palpatine himself.
4. Two Tarantino universes

Confirmed by the T-Man himself, there are two separate realities where his movies take place.
One, where the fantastical movies like Kill Bill happen and another, with all the realistic ones like Jackie Brown and Reservoir Dogs .
5. Charles Xavier’s twin
On the DVD commentary of X-Men: The Last Stand , they confirmed this theory.
Charles Xavier was killed by Jean Grey . However, he survives into future movies. How?
He transferred his mind into his twin brother’s body.
6. *The Thing*’s last two survivors

Fans, over the years, have tried to figure out whether MacReady or Childs was infected during the final scene of The Thing .
Well, John Carpenter answered us. Kind of. He said on Twitter that it was one of them, but refused to say who it was.
7. Logan’s ending was foreshadowed in *The Wolverine*
While it may have been a far worse movie than Logan , The Wolverine actually foreshadowed the ending.

Logan dies while holding X-23’s hand, which is exactly what this Twitter user pointed out .
8. The peddler from *Aladdin* is the Genie

Yes, they have the same voice actor, they both have only four fingers, and they have the same kind of attitude.
The creators of the movie have also confirmed they are the same person.
9. Disney’s secret gay couple

You may think that LeFou was Disney’s only gay character, but you would be wrong.
In Zootopia , there was a gazelle couple that lived together. They were supposed to be more openly gay, but Disney was afraid censors wouldn’t pass it.
10. The Eighth Horcrux

We already know that there are 7 Horcruxes out there, but what if I told you none other than J.K. Rowling herself confirmed that there was an eighth?
It was actually Professor Quirrell, something fans had suspected for a long time.
11. Iron Man met Peter Parker before *Civil War*

For a while, fans thought that this kid from Iron Man 2 was none other than Peter Parker, the man who would eventually become Spider-Man .
Little did they know… they were completely right!
12. Ozymandias is associated with Nazis in *Watchmen*

In the book, our boy Ozy was born in 1939, the year his German parents came to America.
They died when he was 17, leaving him a huge fortune.
However, in the movie, Zack Snyder and Matthew Goode (the guy who played Ozymandias) decided that his parents would get their money from the acts of the Nazi party.

This is why near the end he starts to speak with a German accent .
13. Dumbledore is death

Another theory confirmed by J.K. Rowling is the one that Dumbledore is death.
Long story short, it goes back to that story about the three brothers. Snape is the first brother, Voldemort the second and finally, Harry is the third. Dumbledore is death.
14. The vehicles from *Cars* destroyed humanity

One of the creative directors confirmed a rather dark theory about the Cars universe.
That years ago, humans built these machines that were so advanced they eventually replaced us.
15. Leprosy is the strange disease in *Princess Mononoke*
For years fans speculated that the incurable disease in Princess Mononoke was an allegory for leprosy.
Back in 2016, director Hayao Miyazaki confirmed the theory to be true.
He was making a statement on the history of the disease and its impact on social status in Japan.
16. Aquaman saved Clark’s life in *Man Of Steel*

In Man Of Steel , right after Clark Kent saves the oil workers from the burning rig, he’s thrust into the ocean and is knocked unconscious. He comes to after hearing whale songs.
Fans always believed that this was the first showing of Aquaman in the DCEU.
The theory has since been confirmed by both Jason Mamoa and Zack Snyder.
17. *Get Out* is a sequel
To the movie Being John Malcovich . This is a bit of a long and complicated theory that suggests Catherine Keener from BJM is the mother in Get Out .
Jordan Peele confirmed this theory via a YouTube rapid-fire question period.
18. There is a soul world inside the soul stone in *Avengers: Infinity War*.

After Thanos snaps his fingers, he goes to a strange pocket dimension and is joined by a young Gamora. Fans always thought that this was the Soul World, due in part because of the way it seemed to glow orange.
Director Joe Russo confirmed that not only was this true but that Gamora is also in the Soul Stone.
19. The engineer in *Prometheus* was Jesus Christ

What fans wanted from Prometheus was nothing more than a prequel to one of the greatest horror films ever made, Alien .

After a while, fans started thinking that there was more to Stan Lee’s cameo appearances than just a simple “wink” at the audience.
They thought that he was from a race of aliens known as The Watchers .
Director Joe Russo liked the idea so much, he included it in Guardians of the Galaxy .
21. Chief is a demi-god in *Wonder Woman*

When we first meet Chief in Wonder Woman , he and Diana have a conversation in Blackfoot where he introduces himself as Napi.
Napi is the god of creation in Native American lore, so this had fans thinking that Chief was actually a demi-god.
Actor Eugene Brave Rock confirmed the theory to be true via Twitter.
22. Deckard is a replicant

One of the great things about Bladerunner is the film’s use of ambiguity. It’s the “not knowing” that truly makes it so interesting.
However, Director Ridley Scott has confirmed that, beyond a shadow of a doubt, Deckard was a replicant .
Which took a lot of the fun out of *Blade Runner: 2049*.

Call me crazy, but sometimes it’s just best to let sleeping dogs lie.
Leaving things open to interpretation is always better in my opinion.
23. *Robocop* was a Christ story
See what I’m talking about? I was perfectly happy with my surface-level understanding of Robocop .
I didn’t need to be told that it was an allegory for the birth of Christ.
Wait…could *RoboCop* have influenced *South Park*?
If Jesus originally was the influence for RoboCop , is it possible then that RoboCop was the influence for South Park ‘s Jesus?
24. *Spirited Away* is an allegory for the sex industry

I love the film Spirited Away and I’ve certainly never been one to view it as a statement on the Japanese sex industry. Apparently, I’m in the minority.
Miyazaki even confirmed the theory himself.
25. *Batman Vs. Superman* was inspired by one particular comic book arc
During the “Knightmare” flashback in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice , comic book fans everywhere noticed similarities to a non-canonical Elseworlds tale known as Injustice .
Zack Snyder confirmed this to be true, lamenting on what could have been.
Just for the record: this is how the first issue of *Injustice* ends:
The Joker poisons Superman with The Scarecrow’s fear toxin. He makes Clark believe that he’s fighting Doomsday when in reality, he’s murdering his own wife and son.
Talk about the darkest timeline…
26. Hercules and Ariel are cousins

To confirm this one, you just need to consult any book on Greek Mythology:
Hercules is the son of Zeus, who is the brother of Poseidon. Poseidon is the father of King Triton and Triton is father to Ariel.
