Being a celebrity has its obvious perks, but one thing that probably isn’t so enjoyable is the constant pressure to look flawless — otherwise being picked apart incessantly on social media by trolls.
But there are some celebs that have chosen to fight back against body-shaming, by simply being themselves with the utmost confidence; something many people —non-celebs included —struggle with!

After being criticized for the way her body looked at the Superbowl halftime show in 2017, she clapped back at the haters, letting them know she’s happy with her body.
“I heard my body is a topic of conversation so I wanted to say, I’m proud of my body and you should be proud of yours too. No matter who you are or what you do. I could give you a million reasons why you don’t need to cater to anyone or anything to succeed. Be you, and be relentlessly you. Ashley Graham.
Ashley has always demonstrated an inspiring amount of self-love on social media. This is one of the many body-positive posts she has made this year.
“same same but a little different,” she captioned it. We love to see it!
Jameela Jamil.
“Boob stretch marks are a normal, beautiful thing. I have stretch marks all over my body and I hereby rename them all Babe Marks,” Jameela wrote.
“They are a sign my body dared to take up extra space in a society that demands our eternal thinness. They are my badge of honour for resisting society’s weaponizing of the female form.”
Demi Lovato.
Demi has always been a dedicated advocate to shutting down body-shamers, and the first and most effective way she does that is by being comfortable in her own skin, and flaunting what she’s got.
Kelly Clarkson.
Kelly has dealt with her fair share of body-shamers in the past. But she always keeps it real!
“It’s horrible, they’ll show celebrities with cellulite and it’s like, ‘Of course celebrities have cellulite! We’re not fem-bots!'” she told People .
Jessie J.
Jessie captioned this photo with an amazing post:
“Took ages to hairspray my hair like that. My shadow is my mood oh and for those telling me I have cellulite. I know. I own a mirror. “
Iskra Lawrence.
Iskra has always been a body-positive inspiration for many of her fans and followers and has never been afraid to rock her “imperfections” and embrace her body on the Gram.
It’s definitely what young people need to see!
Karrueche Tran.
In 2017, Karreuche posted a photo of her stretch marks on Instagram , referencing a Kendrick Lamar lyric as her caption:
“Show me somethin’ natural like [expletive] with some stretch marks”, and this year, her stretch marks made another appearance on her IG feed!
Hilary Duff.
Hilary’s always been a positive ray of sunshine, and now even more so, because she’s loving herself and clapping back at anyone that has a problem with the way her body looks in a bathing suit.

This Orange Is The New Black star has been advocating for body positivity for years. But in her cover story for SHAPE this year, she really owned it, saying :
“I love my body! I can accomplish whatever I want in the exact body God created me to be in!’”
Lizzo.
“I’m not going to be able to please everyone with my outward appearance,” she said in an interview with Jameela Jamil.
“Someone’s always going to have a critique, someone’s always going to have some negativity to say about me. So all that matters is what I think of it. And I had to go so deep inside myself and look in the mirror. Looking in the mirror and accepting what’s in the mirror is very, very difficult. And right now, I love it every time I look in the mirror.”
Kim Kardashian.
Kim knows that nobody’s perfect, not even her.
“I have cellulite. So what! I’ve never claimed to be perfect. It’s crazy anyone should assume that just because you’re in the spotlight, you’re flawless,” she once said .
Jessica Alba.
Back in 2010, Jessica opened up to Self about her post-pregnancy body, saying:
“I’ll take the stretch marks. I’ll take the sagging boobs. I’ll take the cellulite I can never get rid of.”
