A lot of weird stuff somehow flies in Hollywood.
We have young children who start acting at a young age and significant age gaps between certain celeb couples.
Speaking of the latter, there have been a lot of age gaps between teen actors and their love interests in TV shows and movies.
Unsurprisingly, fans have found this to be very weird.
Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray – *A Cinderella Story*
More like a jailbait story!
At the time of filming, Hilary was 17 while Chad was 24. Like most young girls, she had a crush on him at the time on the older and handsome Murray.

Who couldn’t love Kelso and Jackie on That 70s Show ? The characters had so much chemistry and the actors are even married with kids today!

Uncomfortable is a good way to describe how the audience felt when the two shared an intense makeout scene.
Mena Suvari and Kevin Spacey – *American Beauty*
While the film was based on a large age gap between the two main characters, things were still weird. Mena was 18 during filming while Spacey was 40.
By sharing a nude scene with Spacey, the actress was left very vulnerable with the large age gap between the two.
Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman – *High School Musical 3*
Disney fans couldn’t deny the chemistry between the “highschoolers” Chad and Taylor.
But since Bleu was 17 and Coleman was 28, it caused for some awkward moments. Thankfully, the pair got through it and are still great friends off set.
Emmy Rossum, Gerard Butler, and Patrick Wilson – *The Phantom of the Opera*
Emmy Rossum was only 16 when she was cast as Christine. Meanwhile, Gerard was 31 and Patrick Wilson was 27.
Learning this information made the onscreen kiss she shared with both actors very weird for fans.
Emaline Addario and Kate Messner – *Everything Sucks!*
Everything Sucks! saw Addario and Messner playing two high schoolers with quite the romantic interest in one another.

His love interest was then-26-year-old, Noel Fisher. Despite this, Cameron was “ very happy ” to play the role and wasn’t uncomfortable towards the age discrepancy.

When she was just 18, Knightley portrayed Julliette, a newlywed of the then-26-year-old, Chiwetel Ejiofor.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, Andrew Lincoln, another romantic interest of her character, was 30 at the time. The movie should be called Inappropriate, Actually.

It is very strange that a 21-year-old Jared Leto taught 14-year-old Claire Danes how to kiss back in 1994.
Danes spoke on the matter on The Howard Stern Show , saying that “he [Leto] seemed ancient” at the time and that he thought the kiss scene was “ridiculous.”
Rider Strong and Trina McGee – *Boy Meets World*
Rider Strong was clearly still a boy when he found himself in an on-screen romance with Trina McGee at 17.
Meanwhile, Trina was in her late 20s. Despite this, Strong has nothing but compliments towards the actress even saying, “Trina entering my life was huge.”

The ’80s film saw a 51-year-old Michael Caine have a love affair with 18-year-old Michelle Johnson.
This meant that there were 33 years between the two! This lack of chemistry made this rom-com a painful one to watch.

Given his controversial background , it’s very uncomfortable that there was a 37-year age gap between Woody and Lewis in this film.
Shortly after the film, he went on to marry his ex-girlfriend’s adopted daughter.
