Lately, I’ve been thinking that it would be so cool to have a secret hiding spot in my home. The only question is — where? And how would I ensure that nobody finds it?
Well, as it turns out, there are lots of awesome ideas out there for hiding spots . Here are just a few examples some people found. Let that be an inspiration to us all.
1. This Hotel Room
Imagine if you stayed in this hotel and you discovered something hiding behind a bookshelf? That’s exactly what happened to this person when they found a secret billiards room. Isn’t that so amazing or what? I love it.
2. This Under-The-Stairs Surprise
This person’s parents bought a new house and to their surprise, they found a hidden room under the stairs. Oh, wow! I would be both intrigued and a little terrified, lol. Should they go to check what’s in there, haha?

Can you believe this? This shirt somebody bought has a hidden pocket sewn into the inside of it with the phrase “Don’t tell Mom,” Oh, my! Isn’t that so cool or what? Yes, make sure you don’t tell mom.
4. This Piano’s Secret
Check this out. This piano from 1885 has a hidden pop-out candle holder. Oh, I guess that must’ve been a thing back in the day. I’ve got to admit playing the piano by candlelight does sound very nice.

One of the things I would like to have one day is an ensuite bathroom. That would be so handy, no? I bet the people who bought this place were thrilled to find one hiding behind these cabinet doors.
7. This Cabinet Within A Cabinet
I don’t know about you, but I’m always after some extra space in my living room. So I would be absolutely thrilled if I discovered this cabinet within a cabinet, hee-hee. How awesome is that, huh?
8. This Souvenir Surprise
What would you do if you dropped a souvenir and found out it had a secret compartment inside? I guess nothing, hee-hee. I wish there were something like a gem hiding in there. That would have been a nice surprise, eh?
9. This Nightstand
My fiancé would love to be a carpenter. He really enjoyed taking woodworking back in high school. So I hope that one day, he can make me a nightstand with a secret hiding spot like this one here.
10. This Wardrobe
Is it just me, or does this closet here remind you of Narnia? How cool would it be if you had a secret wardrobe that opened up to a hidden room? I have to admit I wouldn’t mind it one bit.
11. This Secret Door
Oh, no! I don’t know why but this makes me think of a scene from a horror movie. Perhaps it’s because Halloween just passed, and I’m still creeped out. What do you think of that?
12. This Hidden Puzzle
So imagine if you bought a table second-hand and started to look around. Then all of a sudden, you found a latch that opened it up to reveal a secret puzzle compartment inside of it. Wow! That’s a neat idea.

This curious person inherited a neat lion’s head cane and came to find out it had a secret compartment inside of it. And there was a glass vial for storing something. What could it be used for, huh? Hopefully not blood, ha, ha.

Check out this interesting story. A man parked a bus on his newly bought property only to discover a hidden room underneath the pavement. How did he find it? When the bus sunk into it. Yikes!
15. This Floor Cooler
I don’t know if you realize that most floors in the house are pretty cold. So it makes sense that there is a hidden cooler installed here. What a super fun way to chill things, no?
16. This Hidden Gameroom
Wouldn’t it be cool if you had a hidden playroom in your home? Well, that’s exactly what these folks set up here and it looks pretty sweet to me. What else are they hiding in there?
17. This Restaurant’s Secret Menu
Have you noticed that a lot of restaurants these days have secret menus? But one question remains — how do you find them? In this case, they made it easy and hung it up on the wall, hee-hee.
18. This Staircase
How can somebody be so smart as to install a secret staircase into a dining room table? I can’t even fathom that. Isn’t that some clever engineering or what? I honestly would never have thought of doing something like that.
