A father stands up for his trans son at a family wedding and storms out after the sister refuses to respect the name.

I’m a 45 year old single father of three, with a 17 year old son Andrew, 15 year old trans son Connor and 14 year old son Max. Connor has been out as trans for 5 years, and his family has known for 2. Recently, his sister got married, and the father was surprised to find out that she expected Connor to wear a dress instead of a shirt and tie like the rest of the male guests. He was even more surprised when he saw that the card at the table was marked with Connor’s deadname. After telling his sister not to deadname his son, the father found himself in an argument and left the wedding with his sons. It’s a story of standing up for one’s family, and it’s time to hear the reactions of the online community .
