16+ Confusing Things We Still Had To Look At

Just as staring at the sun can mess up our eyes, some things we look at can leave our brains feeling like they need a shower. But just like how telling someone not to look at the sun is the fastest way to get them to do it, our curiosity just loves to wallow around in the mental mud.

So let’s just feed that curiosity and worry about why the world is the way it is later.

1. Well, I suppose I’ll be the first to congratulate this roommate for graduating from medical school.

And judging by the mask, I’m guessing she minored in pic-a-nic basket studies. I’m sure that will serve her and nurse Booboo well.

I may be overthinking this.

2. Just because the Death Star had a nasty habit of blowing up doesn’t mean the Empire didn’t take their construction seriously.

I’ll have you know that Darth Vader personally inspected every factory involved. That’s when they learned what a “force-choke–related incident” was.

3. Wait, does this mean the people on TV could see us all along?

So when I shout instructions at people in horror movies, they can hear me fine and are actually just ignoring me? Jeez, it’s like they want the killer to attack them.

4. I understand the need to push the limits of radness, but no self-respecting grandma is gonna serve this pasta now.

But I guess the life of a pro-skater demands certain sacrifices — like getting chased down the street by a lady with a wooden spoon.

5. Oh, no. It seems that the evil genius who created the Furby snake couldn’t leave well enough alone.

Not only does it have skeleton arms now, but it has a taste for flesh. These experiments must stop, or their arrogance will doom us all!

6. Well, I suppose I’ve heard of worse ways to get out of doing your chores.

I mean, this should at least buy the time it takes for the parents to go out and buy a chisel. I don’t think most people have one lying around.

7. You know what? I can’t really be mad at someone for following through on their dream to bring a Dr. Seuss bike to life.

Plus, I think they’ve finally invented a vehicle that people can’t steal. They’d have to figure out how it works first.

8. I guess nothing fits the Air brand quite like shoes that show as little of themselves as possible.

And either they’re really comfortable or somebody just wanted to show us that socks are for wusses, ’cause that would normally cause some blisters.

9. Apparently, this was supposed to be an engineering school, but it was considered too unsafe to actually use.

That might not inspire much confidence in the school, but some people have to learn the hard way that they can’t turn Jenga into a real building.

10. Well, as you can see, the artist was trying to represent… uh, how muddled and faceless we’ve become as a people.

And the feet? Yeah! Those symbolize the… web of malaise that we’re all caught in. It’s all very deep and thought-provoking.

Haha, nailed it.

11. You might think this family is proudly showing off their amazing, magnetic boy, but there’s more to this story than that.

It’s subtle, but it looks like his “belly” is actually a flesh-colored shirt. I know it doesn’t explain the silverware, but there ya go.

12. Yeah, I know it seems a little big for the playground, but it didn’t have the arms to ride this thing when it was just a little facehugger.

Can’t blame it for trying to capture its childhood before it has to capture screaming space marines.

13. Look, I understand going down with the ship, but I think you’re allowed to leave it once it hits the shore.

And there’s no way the chest of booty between them is that heavy. I think it’s just easier to be a landlubber.

14. Whether that thing is in his mouth or on it, there’s no way the aesthetic is worth that level of discomfort.

I’ll give them credit for staying focused on the photo, though. Because that guy in the background is definitely telling his buddy about them, which would get distracting.

15. You know what? It’s a refreshing change of pace to not be the confused ones here.

The chickens are the real MVPs. Not only do they give us their eggs and themselves, but they’re even willing to endure some mind-bending for us.

I think my favorite part is that the pony seems to be only vaguely aware of what’s going on. It’s just happy they got off its back.

17. I call this the mountain of sugar and regret.

Don’t show this image to the marketing execs over at Oreo. It’ll inspire them to make the “Quadruple Most Stuf Oreo Mountain” cookies (or something like that). Consumers, I’m telling you right now, no one needs this much Oreo cream stuffing.

I sincerely hope this dog’s vest is figuratively using the word “explosive.” He looks like such a good boy!

19. Sir Snack-a-lot

Remember that kid in middle school who was obsessed with medieval times?First of all, why was there one at every school? Second of all, why were Scooby Snacks their snack of choice? So many questions.

20. I feel like this straw needs a warning.

At first, I was like, “Awww, what a great idea for Valentine’s Day!” But then I realized the second picture is how people go into cardiac arrest. Kind of killed the mood for me.

21. I get it — we all love our dogs.

But maybe, just maybe, this is taking things a little too far? The dog doesn’t look too happy to be wearing this shirt.

22. It’s even worse when you swap the faces.

I feel like I’m looking into a snapshot of our future. One where dogs rule over us and we are their humble pets… shudders .

Just billowing, voluptuous curtains blowing softly in the breeze. Nothing sensual or special to see here. Keep moving along.

24. Just (don’t) do it.

We’re literally one step away from companies implanting a chip into our brains. They know where we are, they know when we talk about a product, but for the love of all that is good, leave our eyebrows alone!

25. Please don’t cosplay with traffic cones.

Whoever this is nailed the “starfish” cosplay they were going for, but at what cost? Your dignity is not worth this elaborate show.

26. Put this on the list of things I could have gone without seeing.

I should know by now that there is every type of fandom out there on the internet and it can result in some creative projects. I’m not judging, I’m just saying I don’t want to look at it.

27. This person has tentacles under their tongue.

It’s actually called plica fimbriata , which is essentially a trail of growths.

They’re harmless, but could hurt a great deal if they get caught in your teeth!

28. I don’t want to know why there is a hoard of stuffed Elmos hanging around this tree.

The fact that it’s in a forest is even more disconcerting.

29. What is balancing the weight of this vehicle?

I don’t know much about physics, but this just doesn’t look right.

30. This woman must have snuck through the emergency exit doors.

Or has an “in” with the concession workers. You definitely want to befriend those folks!

31. This is a new beauty trend we were unaware of!

My results have not yielded others doing it, but just wait. Putting false lashes on top of the frames of glasses is going to blow up.

32. Technically, this is not wrong.

But how this individual was able to get out of the wheelchair is a bit concerning.

33. Frequent public transit sleeper?

If you give it a chance, it’s actually pretty genius.

Now, it just takes a bold person to execute it.

34. A broken tail light makes for the perfect basketball storage!

35. Cats need to be entertained during commutes, too.

36. Escalators break down so often that you might as well just replace them with actual stairs.

This would be pretty disappointing zooming around the edge and seeing this, however. Guess it’s leg day!
