When we lose a loved one, it can be so easy to forget the toll that this can take on the healthcare workers who have been trying to save them. These workers see death so frequently, but it still takes a toll on them, and they should be treated with much more respect than they sometimes are.

It’s hard for me to imagine being that good at anything! There are some spectacular artists out there, but this is one of the finest pieces of guerrilla art I have ever seen!

What a fantastic way to correct such hateful rhetoric. The polarising politics at the moment across the UK have lead to a very dark time; however, there is hope, and there are still good people out there fighting against such views.

A mere couple of hours can transform an entire city into a completely different landscape. It is stunning to see it play out in such proximity.

One on a more somber note now. We live in a time where the impact we have on the environment is being taken more seriously, however, terrifyingly stunning pictures such as these really help to put in perspective the extent of that impact.
Free Climbing Like A Flag
This photo is of Dan Osman. It’s hard to believe that anyone could have the nerve to do such a thing, it makes my feet turn to jelly just looking at it! Osman sadly died at the age of 35 during a controlled free-fall at Yosemite Park, when his ropes failed.
Thanksgiving During WWII
This amazing image shows 2 GIs from the 102nd Division, finding time to take a break and celebrate Thanksgiving on November 23, 1944. They ate their Thanksgiving meal in a shelled house in Geilenkirchen, North Rhine-Westphalia. This should make everyone a little more thankful to be eating in the comfort of their own home, with their family.
“The most challenging painting I’ve ever done titled ‘Recover'”
While it may not be a conventional picture, I simply couldn’t leave this image out. It is a stunning painting that bares such semblance to the considerations of our time; in particular, to do with our place in nature, and how we as a species interact with the natural world.

This one is particularly haunting I think. Returning to your childhood home after so long, only to find it frozen in time must be truly disconcerting.

400-pound sumo wrestler Kelly Gneiting made a promise that he would hold a world record for ‘Heaviest Person to Complete a Marathon’. This was him after crossing the finish line at the LA marathon, completing it with a time of 9 hours, 48 minutes, and 42 seconds. What an inspiration!
Moscow — Evolution Tower
One of my favorite buildings on the planet! (And yes, I’m sad enough to have a list, leave me alone!) The Evolution Tower in Moscow was inspired by Auguste Rodin’s sculpture, The Kiss, and is supposed to represent interlinking people and generations.

This tree must be the exception to the phrase, that which burns twice as bright, burns half as long.

It feels like nowadays, more so than ever, there is a fear of growing old. Perhaps it is the influence of social media and the fast turnaround of viral media which encourages a culture that gives everything such a short shelf life. However, this man shows that there should be no fear in growing old, as this man who goes by the name Günther Anton Krabbenhöft, was recently termed “The World’s Most Fashionable Grandpa” by the Huffington Post . He truly is, king of the hipsters.
Cheerful Cancer Survivor Pre And Post Treatment
It can seem like there is a lot of darkness in the world at the moment. However, there are notes of positivity out there, it’s just a matter of finding them, and taking solace in those rays of light.

Someone commented that this should be changed from to “Real men” to just “Decent people”. Everyone deserves respect in this world, without people working jobs such as these, the world would be in chaos.
