Many of us are exhausted . We are sick and tired of waking up every morning and going into a job that does not appreciate us, to work alongside people who annoy us, and do way more than our salary pays us to do. After living through a pandemic and working through it too, many of us are ready for a change of pace.
Some of us noticed that our industries do not appreciate us, and others just want to lay around in sweatpants and lounge—however, we still need to get paid. So, we’re always looking for jobs that let us lounge and get money at the same time.

Many of us sit around and daydream about what our “dream job” is. For some of us, our dream job is getting paid to eat whatever we want, whenever we want. Others of us want to get paid to sit home and binge-watch Netflix all day. And, then there are those who want to get paid to cuddle with their pets all day.

Working alongside cute, cuddly animals is something we would all love to do, right? Taking care of baby animals and snuggling with them all day long, giving them love and nurturing—that is truly a dream come true. Who wouldn’t want to be around little loving, cuddly creatures all day long?
Now, there is a job that everyone would want to apply for.
If you love pandas, there is a job out there that you need to apply to ASAP. Xinhua News Agency recently reported that the China Giant Panda Protection and Research Center in Ya’an, Sichuan is looking for new employees . And, the job itself is something we would all love to do.
Basically, you would be getting paid to take care of cute baby pandas.
The job title is a “Panda Caretaker” and essentially, the employee would be responsible for cuddling, nurturing, and spending all of their time—all day, 365 days a year, with sweet baby pandas.
“Your work has only one mission: spending 365 days with the pandas and sharing in their joys and sorrows,” organizers said .
There are some other perks, as well.
The job pays 200,000 yuan, which is around $32,000. But, on top of the salary, the person who gets the job will also receive an SUV to use and drive to work, in addition to free meals and food accommodations. So, you would be saving money on your car and your groceries, as well.
The job is actually a “rare gig.”
Many of the people who currently work at the center where the job is being offered are “volunteers,” and they do not receive a salary that is this high. So, it is a unique and rare opportunity for the right person.
There are some job requirements, as well.
Anyone who wants to apply for the job is more than welcome, however, there are some requirements. The center requires that job applicants are at least 22-years-old. In addition, the applicant should have some prior knowledge of pandas, as they would be caring for them regularly.
If you don’t get the job, don’t worry.
If you apply for the job and want to move to China to spend your days with pandas, but you don’t get it, don’t fret. The campaign is also looking to recruit eight panda observers for a free three-day trip to the Bifengxia base, where the pandas are currently housed and staying.
Clearly, this is a dream job.
When we are making our list of “dream jobs,” maybe panda cuddler was not up there. But, now that I know I can get paid a liveable salary to sit around and snuggle up with some baby pandas, and watch their adorable every move? Well, it’s my #1 job now.
