Alright folks, today we’re going to talk Gossip Girl .
I hear that the word on the street is that they might bring the critically acclaimed TV show back. But hey, you didn’t hear it from me.
So last time we checked up on our friends from the Upper East side, there were a couple of big revelations.
Some were satisfying endings and some definitely weren’t.
We found out the identity of Gossip Girl.
And surprisingly, it wasn’t a girl at all.
It was a boy, and the identity of Gossip Girl ended up shocking a ton of viewers.
It ended up being Dan Humphrey.
Yes, that’s right.
He was a writer who always wanted to be a part of the Upper East Side. And interestingly, he always had been.
On the series finale, there were ominous final words.
“You may be rid of Dan Humphrey, but you’ll never be rid of me. There’s always someone on the outside. … Who am I now? That’s one secret I’ll never tell.”
So the story definitely continued.
There could easily be a new show if they really wanted it.
There could be a new Gossip Girl or heck, maybe an epilogue like they did with Gilmore Girls
Either way…
There might just be a Gossip Girl reunion or continuation coming for us.
And wouldn’t that be something amazing?
Well…
I know I can’t drop a bomb on you like that and not provide you a source.
I mean, I wouldn’t want to get your hopes up without proof that they’re worth getting up in the first place.
It came from Nate Archibald himself.
Or better known as Chace Crawford in real life.
He was a major heartthrob on the show, and has recently spoken about it coming back!
He spoke about it in an interview with Digital Spy.
About how he would be interested in playing his character again.
However, not all was fine and dandy from Mr. Archibald’s mouth, oh no. He had more to say.
He went on to say that:
The series would work better if it was a reboot rather than an epilogue or even a continuation of the series he originally starred in.
He has a lot of thoughts about it.
He told Digital Spy :

“I don’t know what it would look like with us being in our 30s now, but I always say, because it was such a big part of my life, I’m open to anything,”
He continued…
And said that the whole thing would have to be really tight, and recommended that they only do eight episodes.
Heck, maybe they could even put it on a streaming service.
And what about the original cast?
Even if they did decide to use the same old folks from the original, it might be hard to get all of them.
A lot of those actors are on great TV shows now, so the scheduling would be insane.
But all is not lost.
In fact, Meester and Lively have also said they’d be cool with the idea of playing Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodsen once more.
