Attention all horror movie fanatics, and I guess anyone else who enjoys a really good scare every now and then.
There’s a spooky new live-streaming event hitting the internet this month, and it’s one that’s sure to test even the bravest thrill seekers among us.
Remember that house from 2013’s heart-stopping horror film, The Conjuring ? Well, now you can watch a week-long live-stream inside the real-life haunted version so you can find out once and for all if you’re as fearless as you think you are.
Some of you might be finding out for the first time that the house in the film was based off an *actual* farm house that’s still around today.
Built in the 1700s in Rhode Island, the paranormal homestead was once owned by the Perron family who began to notice a lot of strange and scary events happening inside their otherwise average dwelling during the 1970s.
Sufficiently spooked, the family sought the help of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren who visited the home and determined that a witch named Bathsheba Sherman had cursed the land.

Oh, and now she was haunting them.
In case you haven’t picked up on the similarities yet, that real-life investigation was the inspiration for the plot of *The Conjuring*.
Suffice it to say, this is one supremely scary home, and I’m not sure I’d ever dare to get anywhere close to it, let alone step foot inside its front door.
But through the magic of the internet, and inspired by the fact that we’re all stuck at home now anyway, you can virtually experience all the spook and scares of this haunted house during its week-long live-stream in May.
The event is being hosted by The Dark Zone, a website devoted exclusively to delivering you some creepy content.
As the site’s official synopsis of the event reads,
“The world is on lockdown and so is the family living in the house that inspired The Conjuring. Watch as the Heinzen family shows you how they live amongst the spirits while toughing out this worldwide pandemic.”
That’s right, there’s an actual family living inside this haunted house right now, and they’re opening their doors to any and all curious visitors.
According to Den of Geek , Corey and Jennifer Heinzen bought the farm house nearly one year ago and have been staying there ever since.
Oh, and in case you were wondering, they have totally been experiencing some bizarre events ever since they moved in, such as “footsteps, knocks, [and] lights flashing in rooms…that don’t have light in there to begin with.”
If that all sounds like your kind of “fun”, you should definitely check out the upcoming live-stream.
The House Live will stream as a free preview on May 8, with the full stream scheduled to begin on May 9 at noon ET. It will continue to stream live, 24/7, for an entire week.
It’ll cost you $4.99 to watch 24 hours of the live-stream, and if you’re feeling really brave, you can stream the full week for $19.99. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to COVID-19 charities.
