A teen was recently recording herself singing in preparation for an upcoming audition when she was treated to a rather shocking surprise — her mother’s leg crashing through the ceiling of her bedroom.
As Business Insider reported, 18-year-old Liz San Millen’s video of her mom’s hilarious interruption has quickly gone viral on TikTok, but the teen wants to assure everyone that her mother is fine, and is enjoying her newfound viral fame.
Liz has recently moved to New York City to study musical theater, but before she left home she been hard at work practicing for an important audition.
That audition will determine her placement in classes at the New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts, so she made sure to practice as much as possible while still living at her parents’ house.
It was while she was recording herself singing “Kindergarten Boyfriend” from *Heathers: The Musical* that her mom barged in to her room.
Which wouldn’t have been so crazy, if it weren’t for the fact that she used the ceiling rather than the door.
At the beginning of the video, Liz can be seen calmly singing as a musical recording plays alongside her.
“You can kind of see the irritation in my face because I told my mom I was filming and I could hear her banging around up there looking for stuff,” the teen recalled to Insider .
Apparently, her mom was one floor above her daughter in the attic, searching for luggage for the upcoming move to New York. But not for long.
While still singing, a visibly annoyed Liz glances at her camera at the very moment a *leg* crashes through her bedroom ceiling.
Startled, the teen spins around to asses the cause of the noise and is treated to the sight of her mom’s leg hanging through the broken plaster.

“Oh my God !” Liz exclaims right before the video ends.
As it turns out, her dear-old-mom had been trying to walk carefully upstairs, avoiding the unstable flooring and putting her weight on wooden beams instead.
However, despite her cautious steps she managed to trip over her own flip flop, causing her leg to effectively punch-through the floor below.
Which also happened to be Liz’s ceiling, hence the bizarre interruption.
The video, which was posted to Tik Tok just one week ago, has been viewed over 6 million times.
“Life footage of my mom telling me to break a leg,” Liz captioned the hilarious clip .
Many users expressed genuine shock at the surprise ending of the video, with others pointing out their concern for Liz’s mom, given the fact that she made zero noise upon falling through her daughter’s ceiling.
Liz has since made a follow-up video to assure those concerned viewers that her mom is perfectly fine.
“What a woman,” the teen said in the clip . “Didn’t even get a bruise.”
She added that while the response to the video has been “awesome”, it was certainly something she never expected to have happen, and admitted her mom’s unconventional entrance “scared the crap out of [her]”.
As for how her mom is handling her online popularity, Liz told Insider she’s totally embraced it.
“My mom’s been going on my TikTok and replying to some of the comments,” she revealed.
Oh, and her bedroom ceiling? Still broken, but she says her dad is “working on it.”
