Today we’re once again diving into the wonderful world of Game Of Thrones , and honestly, it’s pretty nice.
Like putting on an old, freshly washed sweater you haven’t worn in a while.

Do I still need to do this? I mean, if you haven’t seen the finale yet, then you probably won’t. Then again, I know a lot of people who have managed to avoid spoilers until now…
Okay fine, here’s your warning.
Is he gone?
Good, the one person who hasn’t seen the finale left.
So, let’s talk about it. Dany is dead. Bran is king. Jon Snow is off to go north of the wall. Etc, etc.
It was met with mixed reactions.
And that’s putting it pretty lightly. Honestly, a lot of people really didn’t like Season 8 and they especially didn’t like the finale.
Psh, fans. They’re so darn entitled, for real.
This tends to be the case with finales.
It’s hard to please people when you’re ending a series that has been in their lives for X amount of years.
I think that no matter what they did, people still would’ve been pissed. It’s the laws of nature.
But I digress.
For a while, hatred had died down. It was almost as if people had forgotten totally about the long-lasting series, and had put it to bed.
However, something recently popped up in the news that blew people’s minds.
The last episode had been brought up again.
This time, it was because HBO had submitted it for an Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series.
Sure, it’s just an Emmy, but people all around were reacting… well, pretty badly.
It was David Benioff and Dan Weiss who got the nom.
Obviously, because they wrote the screenplay for the final episode.
This has garnered some criticism from the fans, who honestly aren’t very happy with the duo at the moment. They blame them for Season 8.
And it’s not just one Emmy…
They’ve submitted 3 different episodes from Season 8 for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series.
The first is “The Iron Throne” which if all goes well for HBO will be the second award D&D win that night.
The Second is “The Last of the Starks”.
Directed by David Nutter, honestly, I thought was a fine episode.
Not really the most Emmy worthy of the series (in fact, I feel that about most of Season 8) but you know, it was fine.
And the last one is “The Long Night”.
Directed Miguel Sapochnik, this might be my favorite episode of Season 8. Arya and her Night King killing, the Battle Of Winterfell in general…
The only issue I could see is that… Well, I had a hard time seeing.
Fans have mixed reactions.
I mean, they’re mostly bad, but how people portray their bad feelings is different.
I took to Twitter, as per usual, to get the scoop on how people feel about this Emmy situation.
Some people were pissed.
And took the time they had on Twitter to make fun of the episode (the one nominated for writing) using scathing memes to take the creators down a peg or two.
Some people think others should win Emmys.
Which I totally agree with. Throw in some sweet, sweet Arya Stark in there and we’re golden.
Of course, Lena Headey stole the show though, she’s been stealing it for like 8 seasons.
