There are some things in this world that we’re probably better off not knowing everything about. Sometimes, you don’t need an explanation, no matter how weird a thing is.
And the same goes for these bizarre pictures. I wish I could tell you what’s going on, but I absolutely cannot. And you know what? It’s for the best.
“The other side of a fast food soda fountain.”
To be honest, this is one sight I could’ve gone my entire life without ever seeing. It takes so much of the magic out of those soda fountains with seemingly countless options. I’m kind of disappointed now.
“Family heirloom watch that was passed down to me. Traces of the family photo carried on the back are still visible.”
Alternate title: Ghost Family Haunts Back of Antique Stopwatch.
Seriously, though, this is kind of cool. Strange, sure. But that’s just part of its charm, I think.
“Tripped and fell on concrete. I hit the ground so hard it deformed my wedding ring.”
Believe it or not, gold isn’t indestructible. That being said, it generally won’t warp randomly. That must’ve been one gnarly fall if the ring ended up as misshapen as that.
“The way my chai latte froze in the car.”
This is why you should try to always remember when you have a drink in the car. I guess this weird pattern is better than having a drink explode in your car.
“Wiener meeting.”
It’s not so much the fact that the hot dog cars exist in the first place. It’s the fact that there are at least four of them hanging out in the same spot. What are the chances?
“Not sure if they like or hate each other. What do you think?”
My theory is that these cats are star-crossed lovers who can only catch a glimpse at one another through the window. Here’s hoping they’re spayed and/or neutered if that’s the case.
“My Bonsai tree kinda looks like a gorilla.”
The fact that it’s standing like a gorilla and everything is just so… odd. Like, of all the shapes this little bonsai could’ve shaped itself into, it ended up looking like an animal.
“These houses I saw in SF that are two different aesthetics.”
I’m not gonna lie, I think they’re actually complementary aesthetics. But the strangest part about this is the fact that someone went through the trouble to paint these houses purple and black.
“My water bottle has a dent in it so when placed at a particular angle it stays at that angle.”
I can’t look at this without getting all stressed out. Sure, it may be balanced like that, but I can’t help but feel like the bottle is going to topple over any second now.
“Have you ever been in an elevator with corner doors?”
I, for one, have not been in an elevator with corner doors. Something about it seems unnatural. Sure, elevators are made by people and therefore not natural, but you know what I mean.
“An extruded ice noodle on my job site this morning.”
Just when you think the world makes sense, it goes and throws a curveball at us. Like, how does this even happen? What explanation exists out there that would make this make sense?
“Dental light looks like a water buffalo.”
It looks like a friendly water buffalo at that. It could totally be in a kids cartoon. Maybe it looks like that so that people will be a little less afraid of going to the dentist?
“My newest random purchase – this mushroom lamp for my work desk.”
I don’t know how this works or why it exists, but I like it. It may not be at the cutting edge of decor trends, but there’s something so cool about it. Probably because it’s so weird.
“A sprouting redwood acorn.”
The caption explains what this thing is, and yet I’m still finding myself completely confused by it. Nothing about it really screams “acorn” (probably because it’s sprouting and all that).
“My wisdom tooth was so unique the surgeon wanted to take a picture of it to show his students.”
I’m not sure if this person should be proud or self-conscious. Like, what does it say about you when you have a super unique-looking wisdom tooth in your mouth?
“My uncle found a huge puffball mushroom.”
I can’t get over how absurdly big this puffball mushroom is. I’m also pretty sure it’s an edible fungus, so this one would make for one mighty meal (or, like, several smaller meals).
“Car parked in underground parking (P3) covered in snow overnight.”
Just when you think your car is safe from the snow, this happens. The fact that snow fell into an underground parking garage is a little bit concerning, don’t you think?
“Raccoon posed for the photo.”
The last thing anyone would ever expect to find in a trashcan is a trash panda. Mostly because they tend to avoid people, but I guess some of them are a bit more brazen than others.
