Netflix has a way of confusing us, and we all know it. Luckily, there is a way of navigating through all the categories. There are actually a ton of subcategories and all you need is a few numbers!
Once you have a code, just type it in your search bar!
Underrated horror movies (4765).

Personally, I can’t stand horror movies, but to each their own.
They obviously make a lot of money for a reason!
Heartwarming sports movies (4116).

Be warned, these are nothing like Coach Carter .
These all make you feel good inside, even though they occasionally have some sad moments. But they are feel-good films.
Dramas that tackle social issues (3947).

My personal favorite title from this sub-category is Blood Diamond . If you haven’t watched it, do it now.
It’s the perfect category when you want something that hits home.

Satires (4922).

Seriously, if you haven’t already watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail then please go do yourself a favor and do so now.
It would be the best decision you’ll make this year.
Westerns (7700).

Dances with Wolves is actually one of my favorite movies of all time.
This subcategory gives you a great look at some classic, and newer Western film tiles.
Creature Features (6895).

Here’s where you could find Jaws and Jaws 2 .
Which, incidentally, are also the reasons why I don’t go swimming in the ocean.
Courtroom dramas (2748).

There are a bunch of amazing titles in this one like Closed Circuit and The Arbitration .
Admit it, you know you like the drama.
The not so traditional romance movies (36103).

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a cult classic movie.
It’s a strange, quirky, and weird love story but people love it anyway. And this category is full of other films like this.
Period pieces (12123).

Personally, I love a good period piece, especially if it’s in the Victorian era, but that’s just my taste.
A great title from this category? Ripper Street !
Camp (1252).

And no, we don’t mean sleeping outside. We mean movies that challenge tradition and love to be flamboyant.
A great example? Hairspray .
Horror for teens (52147).

Here, you’ll find movies like Hostel , or a bad remake of Death Note .
These horror movies are focused primarily on teens!
Movies to make you cry (6384).

The Pianist and The Notebook are two very different kinds of movies, but two of the saddest movies in existence.
And they’re both a part of this heartbreaking category.
Cult classic TV shows (74652).

Twin Peaks and The Twilight Zone are just some of the amazing titles in this category!
That’s where you’ll find me! Which category will you be looking into?
