One of my favorite parts about making things is being able to tell people, “I made that!” when they ask me where I got something they like.
While I have some crafty skills, there are definitely people with more talent out there than me. It’s amazing to see the really cool things other people are making, and there is no shortage of inspiration on the Internet.
Seriously, these DIY projects are so amazing you probably would never guess someone actually made them!
1. This DIY mini fridge is perfect for all the snacks you need at your desk.
Why settle for gummy worms when you could have perfectly cold drinks, chocolate bars, and more at your fingertips?
2. A spiderweb-inspired plant shelf that’s giving off some seriously cool vibez.
I am so down to turn my home into a plant oasis, and this is a great (and unique!) start.
3. This pineapple lamp is actually pretty easy to make.
But who would’ve guessed that making this didn’t involve major time and effort? It’s absolutely adorable, and I’ll take one for my home and one for my desk, thanks!
4. This Game of Thrones-inspired phone holder might be one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen.
When it comes to nerdy AF projects, I am so here for it. This is mindblowing!
5. This floor is entirely made out of pennies.
While it seems like a lot, it’s only about $130 worth of pennies here. The epoxy actually cost more than the pennies did!
6. Someone made their own engagement ring, and it’s so impressive!
They used the help of a jeweler, but the design and hard work was mostly their own. How cool is that?!
7. Someone built a secret bookcase door and I definitely need it in my life!
I’m so impressed with this DIY that I’m now trying to figure out how I can build one in my own apartment.
8. This mirror is powered by Raspberry Pi, which is a super cool way to DIY some tech-powered projects.
I haven’t used a Raspberry Pi, but I’ve used its cousin the Arduino, and they are fun to create with. I actually felt pretty badass coding something and soldering wires!
9. I’ve tried to do this before, but it did not look as good.
I loved playing Guess Who growing up, and this is such a fun version for kids and adults alike.
10. There are tons of ways to DIY a pair of speakers, but I had no idea mason jars would be on that list!
I’ve heard of glasses and toilet paper rolls, but this is the first I’m hearing of this!
11. Turn bath time into total spa time with a bathtub shelf.
This is complete with candle holders, wine glass holder, and a place to put your phone so you can Netflix and chill to your heart’s desire.
12. I swear every grandparent owned one of these massive TVs.
It’s pretty cool to see them repurposed into an aquarium, that’s for sure! Plus, it’s Seinfeld themed, so you really can’t go wrong!
13. Turn your old-school controller into a digital handheld gaming system.
I feel like this would take some fancy hacking and coding knowledge, but if you know how to do it, it’s pretty amazing!
14. This clock is made out of PVC pipe and I can’t get over it!
PVC pipe is a pretty common tool for building shelves and other cool projects, but I’ve never seen it used with tech. Super cool!
15. This is a life-sized glowing Minecraft block.
Any kid would love you forever if you installed this amazing wall fixture in their room. Man, I’d be excited if you did and I don’t even like Minecraft!
16. This light fixture looks like something straight out of a magazine.
But by utilizing an IKEA lamp and getting creative with copper pipe, this is actually a DIY project! I LOVE it!
17. This person made their friend a floating corner desk out of pine and cedar.
Now you can have your corner spot and not keep hitting your legs on the table.
18. I wish my parents would make me a Jurassic Park Jeep!
This Jeep got a paint job and even new light wiring. This kid is going to be the envy of the street for sure.
19. Planters can be so boring looking, but why can’t flowers have a pretty place to grow?
Someone made this planter look like a brick from Mario and I need one now!
20. I never thought there could be another way for wine bottles to be stacked and stored.
I love this design that keeps your wine safe and out of the way until you need it.
21. Someone took wood from an old futon and turned it into storage space for over this toilet.
Apartments don’t always have the best storage, but that doesn’t mean you can’t work with what you’ve got.
22. Buying a playhouse can be expensive, depending on what you’re looking for.
Someone decided it was easier to build their own playhouse and make it exactly how they want it to look.
23. Someone printed out a 3D topographical National Park Map and made a frame to go with it.
This would be so cool to have hanging in your house instead of your typical pictures and posters.
24. Someone made this desktop fantasy waterfall.
This definitely wouldn’t have been easy, but the payoff is huge! Nothing is impossible to make, and this amazing creation is proof of that.
