You either love cinnamon-flavored things, or you don’t. And people who do love cinnamon-flavored foods are “stans” of the flavor, if you will. They will defend the flavor no matter what it’s on!
But, will Peeps’ new collab with Hot Tamales win the cinnamon stans over?
Last week, Peeps shared THIS Tweet:
Instagrammer @candyhunting followed with an announcement that Peeps’ new Hot Tamales Fierce Cinnamon flavor would be a Kroger and Kroger-owned grocery store exclusive item.
Some people really thought it was a joke, but it’s very, very real.
If you’ve ever had Hot Tamales candies, you know that they’re a tamer version of those hard cinnamon hearts that we all pretended to love when we were like 10.
YouTube food reviewer The Endorsement got his hands on a package and gave us the lowdown.
He said that they had that classic sugary Peeps texture people love, and that the cinnamon flavor isn’t super overpowering.
To boot? He gave them a rating of 8.5/10!
Take that, haters!
Another Instagrammer, @a_couple_of_smart_sss, was also able to try them and said they taste like a “tasty cinnamon roll.”
If you’re a fan of sweet cinnamon or love to try new things, it looks like this might be one to add to the grocery list.
