While many of us are able to stay home and remotely work in comfort and safety from the threat of COVID-19, there are plenty of others who do not have that luxury. Various kinds of health care workers, grocery store workers, transportation workers, first responders, agriculture workers, and so many more have to report to work and face the threat of the disease head-on, many facing COVID-19 right before their eyes.
It’s no small feat, and that’s why they really are our heroes during this time. If you know anyone who is an essential worker and want to show how much your appreciate them, consider gifting them something they can unwind with.
There’s no doubt essential workers experience heightened stress on the job, so when they finally do get to go home and relax, it may not be the easiest thing to forget all the events from the day.
Running a warm bath and lighting a candle is a perfect way to de-stress and relax, for at least a little bit.
Consider sending the essential workers in your life something that encourages them to take that time to relax.
