When my neighbor asked me to babysit her son, I didn’t expect to be yelled at for feeding him my home-cooked meal. I made my favorite roti and brinjal sabzi, which the kid loved, but the mom accused me of forcing her son to eat ‘ethnic food’ without permission. She even claimed my food was too spicy and could make him sick! I tried to explain that it was vegan-friendly and healthy, but she didn’t want to listen. Now I’m worried that I did something wrong.
