Ah, spring! It brings all the happy feelings, doesn’t it? It’s the perfect time to make a plan to revive that old garden of yours so you can smell the flowers all summer long.
And, if you’re looking for a pretty bloom to adorn your outdoor space, I’ve got a special one for you. It’s called “Peppermint Swirl” hydrangea and I think you’ll really love its unique appearance.
Hydrangea macrophylla, or ‘peppermint swirl’, is easily recognized by its huge and rounded flower heads that can grow up to 10 inches across.

The plant stands about three feet tall.
It’s also categorized by densely packed white florets adorned with either blue or pink stripes which will depend on the pH of your soil.
Wow, how pretty are these?
This is an awesome reblooming hydrangea that will bloom on old and new growth.
It can even bloom on frost-damaged buds. It will flower from early summer until frost.
Its foliage tends to be dark green with large and glossy serrated leaves.

This is a beautiful plant to add to your garden and it will definitely be a standout.
This slow-growing and compact flower is very elegant and therefore is the perfect plant to add some much needed drama to any garden.
Can you imagine it in yours?
It is best grown in partial shade and will need rich, medium moisture, well-drained soil.
The good news is that it doesn’t normally succumb to any major pest issues.
But you do need to watch out for aphids, capsid bugs, hydrangea scale, and vine weevil.

It will do well in a sheltered location or as an accent plant.
These eye-catching flowers should be pruned after flowering and definitely make an amazing bloom to include in your cut flower arrangements.

So have some fun with them, too.
I can’t say I’ve been a fan of hydrangeas before, but now that I’m starting to find all these amazing and unique varieties, they’re definitely becoming one of my favorites.
Are they growing on you too?
