It’s often nice to find something on the ground, but we might sometimes feel a little suspicious about it even if we might otherwise want what we’ve discovered.
Finding cash is always a cause for celebration, but most of us are probably less likely to finish a drink that somebody left behind, right?
But while we might excitedly grab some of these discarded objects and pass up others, some just leave us wondering how they got there and what we’re even looking at. Touching them can feel like we’re tempting fate, but they can nonetheless make us pause and look at them for a moment.
Whether it’s clear that someone left them behind on purpose or not, we simply need to know the story behind them.
This kiosk is supposed to scan QR codes, but somebody else obviously had other plans for it.

And for some reason, those plans involved taping an entire rotisserie chicken to the scanner. At least they cooked it first?
Nobody wants a side of salmonella with their mystery.
I’m not sure why somebody filled their back window with protests against the Krusty Krab, but it’s clear they’re not taking Mr. Krabs’ greed lying down.

This was apparently taken in Kissimmee, Florida, so I suppose Plankton now knows where to set up shop if things don’t work out in Bikini Bottom.
This is apparently how the uploader’s cat left this can after it finished eating the fish inside.

I’m not saying that the kitty intentionally left it so precariously balanced to make everyone anxious, but I also think we can’t trust that it didn’t.
One Circle K employee was worried that a customer left these pants behind because they crapped them, but that would make too much sense.

Instead, it seems that we’ll never know why they discarded them here and ventured off into the world.
I guess they could have forgotten them after changing clothes, but for all we know, they just ran out in their underwear and embraced a new life.
Pizza is a wondrous thing, but it definitely has its limitations.

You’d be hard pressed to find a more delicious food, but I’m sorry to say that it makes a very poor bicycle seat.
Not only is it messy to begin with, but it’ll get so much worse once nature takes its course.
This was apparently found on a free stuff shelf, which makes sense because it seems like this would be a hard sell.

Still, it’s kind of a double-edged sword because nothing makes a potentially cursed item more suspicious than giving it away for free.
While on a hike, the uplaoder came upon this rather perplexing display.

It’s not unheard of to find animal skulls laid out like this, but they usually aren’t wearing hats or bandanas. OK, I guess they’re not wearing the hats now, but they probably were before the wind picked up.
While some of the surprises we’ve seen here aren’t so nice, this person was probably pretty happy with their discovery.

When they bought this house, they found out that the previous owner had somehow acquired an old street lamp from their city’s downtown area and installed it here.
It really ties the patio together.
It looks like somebody is such a big Spongebob fan that they left a life-sized model of Squidward’s house out in the wild.

Although given that it stands alone, it’s probably not entirely accurate to say they’re a fan of Mr. Squarepants per se.
From the looks of it, they just want him to leave poor Squidward alone and let him practice his clarinet.
This morel happened to be growing in an open field, but that stopped being so easy for it once the weather stopped being overcast.

As we can see here, it became pretty scorched once the sun started beating down on it.
I guess that technically makes this a fried mushroom, but eating caps that you come across in the wild is a serious gamble.
It’s hard to even recognize this, but it’s apparently a paint can that had the actual can part rust away.

Yup, 30 years of sitting around like this can certainly do that. We also don’t have to wonder how these little holes got here because the uploader implied they shot it.
Although we’ve mostly seen people discover what others left behind, this person actually got their strange find sent to them.

As the warning label might suggest, this a pack of tobacco. The uploader apparently does have a use for this, which makes the sender more observant than that “dear sir or madam” would otherwise suggest.
I’m not sure whether this is creepy or considerate.
I guess it could be a coincidence, but whoever did this got Plank from *Ed, Edd and Eddy’s* face down too accurately to have recreated him by accident.

It’s always nice to see a friendly face, even if it’s just on a random piece of wood.
So the uploader’s roommate picked up two cases of wine for them, but then got drunk enough to convince themselves it was Easter.

And so, the uploader didn’t discover a mysterious bottle of wine, but rather found out that they’d have to hunt for the other 23 of them like they’re Easter eggs.
At least it’s something to do, I guess.
Sometimes, we find out that the person who left us a surprise was ourselves all along.

In this case, the uploader apparently spent a couple of years of their childhood making this massive ball of string and they just recently rediscovered it.
While this person was remodeling their house, they found out that they weren’t the only ones living there.

Yup, to their horror, they discovered a massive wasp nest was hanging around inside the walls all along. Yay…
This rather intimidating-looking insect turned up in the uploader’s yard, but looks can be deceiving.

Apparently, what we’re seeing here is a scorpionfly and despite the name and the appearance of its tail, it’s actually harmless.
Shoppers looking for toilet paper in this store will be greeted by an impressive and regal display.

Yup, the stockers went all out and turned this shipment into a soft, fluffy castle. It’s a nice surprise.
There isn’t a human who was particularly interested in wearing this abandoned jacket, but that doesn’t mean nobody found a use for it.

From the looks of it, a bird thought that one of the pockets would make a perfect place to build its nest.
But are we sure that’s what’s in there? Or at least all that’s in there?
The uploader’s motto: “Always leave something weird in your office desk for the next person.”

Not only does the new guy get a mystery to unravel, but every other co-worker now gets a chance to spin some fanciful yarns about the “weirdo who used to work here.”
