The holidays are full of traditions; everyone has some ritual waiting for them around Christmas, whether with family or friends. It has become really popular for people to share their traditions on TikTok ; some are nostalgic, and others are rather funny.
Recently, a clip shared by user Amber Amans (@amberlbess ) went viral for the hilarious gift she received from her husband. Amber explained that she and her husband exchange new ornaments every year to hang on the tree; this year wasn’t the exception; however, there was something off with her ornament.
‘I’m Still Here’
After Amber gave some context, she showed everyone the ornament. In the clip, you can see a clear ball with a white feather inside and some small plaques attached. She then read the plaques that said: “A piece of my heart is in heaven. I have an angel watching over me, and I call her wife.”
Should She Tell Him?
Amber thought the ornament was beautiful, but it was clear that it was a memorial ornament for a widow. But, of course, she isn’t dead, and she was wondering if she should let him know about his mistake or keep it like that.
People thought it would be funny if she told him, as long as she wasn’t mean with him because it was a nice gesture coming from him. Other users suggested she kept quiet or got him a similar one to see if he noticed.
It Was A Memorial Ornament

While her husband’s innocence moved some commenters, others were joking, saying she should watch her back or check if there’s a life insurance policy under her name. Someone wrote, “He saw the words “Heart” “Heaven” and “WIFE” and said to himself yep this will be romantic.”
On the other hand, other users shared similar experiences where their husbands had messed up in hilarious ways, such as, “My husband has given me the same birthday card not once not twice but three times.”
What Did He Have To Say?
As many comments claimed a part two, Amber made a following video, this time with her husband. In the new TikTok, she asks him to read the ornament out loud, yet, he doesn’t get it is for a deceased wife.
Even though she explains she isn’t in heaven yet, he justifies saying he didn’t read it with that connotation. He told her she was trying to make fun of him, but actually, it had a different meaning for him all along.
