So if you want to add some unusual color to your succulent collection look no further than the Aeonium “Sunburst” variety. They’re pretty and unique indeed.

It’s also a monocarpic plant which means that after it finishes flowering, the main plant will actually die.
But not to worry, Aeonium “Sunburst” is actually easily propagated from its stem cuttings. All you have to do is cut a stem away from the main cluster.

Then you need to allow the cut to callous over for a few days before planting it in well-draining soil. Now you can watch it grow and prosper again.

This succulent loves the sun so if you plant it outdoors it will need at least six hours of sun every day. But you can also plant it indoors.

Just make sure it received plenty of light. For best results make sure you allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. And you’ll be good to go.

Aeonium “Sunburst” isn’t cold-hardy so if you live in the Northern hemisphere you need to bring the plant indoors when the temperature dips below 30° F (-1.1° C).

It’s actually typical for this unique plant to get bruises. But the good news is they won’t do any harm. And the new leaf growth will be normal.
