Debbie Gibson has come a long way since singing “Only in My Dreams” at clubs across America in the ’80s. These days, Debbie is an unstoppable force in both music and movies and can be seen on The Hallmark Channel pretty much every Saturday night.
Now, Debbie is celebrating her 51st birthday by showing off her unstoppable abs in a new shower picture that is motivating me to get off the couch for the first time in weeks.
Debbie Gibson has always been beautiful.
Who didn’t want to be besties with Debbie growing up? She always had the coolest style and the best songs on the radio.
As it turns out, 30 years later, I still want to be best friends with her!
These days, Debbie is continuing to live her best life.
If you’re not following the singer/songwriter/actress on social media, you’re making a big mistake and missing out on some iconic content.
Case in point — in celebration of her 51st birthday, Debbie posted an empowering bikini photo.

“On this, the night of my Birthday , and a life moment that is like a rebirth, this felt like the perfect expression of my journey to this magical moment,” she captioned the picture.
“When I was at my lowest points in the last decade , literally laying face down on the cold bathroom floor in physical and emotional pain, inside I was still looking up and trusting that someway , somehow I was going to find myself as you see me in this picture…”
She continued:

“Looking up to the skies with stars showering down on me and bathed in a light that would help me project to all of you strength and joy and music and empowerment and the knowledge that the visions you hold for yourself and the voices in your own head are far more powerful than anything external threatening to take you down.”
“Once you announce to the universe that you are open to receive, it may take a moment , a year, or a decade, but you will eventually reclaim your freedom that’s there inside you… right inside you,” she added.
“So, put it out there. Start today. You are worthy of living your best life. Happy rebirth day … hands to the sky and let the stars shower their light upon you.”
What an empowering message. Way to go, Debbie!
