The world is an amazing place, and I don’t think any of it really happens by accident. It turns out that Mother Nature is a pretty incredible artist, and that’s more than just her work with still life and pretty leaf colors. One Reddit user found some gorgeous proof of this in a uniquely shaped flower that they had found.
“Check out these flowers!” They wrote. “They look like tiny hummingbirds!”

Reddit swiftly identified these as the Crotalaria cunninghamii, which is native to Australia. What makes this a pretty crazy coincidence is that Australia evidently doesn’t have hummingbirds, which means these plants grew independently and not attempting to mimic a creature in the environment.
These are some gorgeous plants!

The plant is also referred to as “the regal bird flower” and it’s pretty clear why that it is.
Whether you’re of the opinion that we give art our own meaning or that ‘life imitates art”, we can all agree that these flowers are breathtaking.
