In the ongoing effort to keep others safe during the coronavirus pandemic, Delta Airlines has had to crack down on those not wearing a mask on their flights.
Two passengers were removed from a Delta flight in late July.
On July 23, Flight 1227 from Detroit to Atlanta had to return to the gate before takeoff “following two customers who were non-compliant with crew instructions,” a Delta spokesperson said.

It was learned that the instructions those passengers weren’t complying with was wearing a mask on-board.
They refused even after the crew made them aware of Delta’s mandatory mask policy, and after causing enough of a delay, they were removed from the plane.
Delta has a known mask policy regarding their flights.
They require passengers to wear a face mask while traveling, and encourages those who have health conditions preventing them from wearing masks to ‘strongly reconsider’ traveling or to be cleared by a doctor before arriving.
They also warn those who falsely claim to have a medical condition, stating they’ll suspend that persons’ travel privileges.
The CEO has backed up the mask policy, and made it very clear where he stands.
“You cannot board a Delta plane unless you have a mask on,” said Delta CEO Ed Bastain. “If you board the plane and you insist on not wearing your mask, we will insist that you don’t fly Delta into the future.”
He added that Delta has already banned over 100 people from flying over their refusal to wear masks.
