1. The not-so-basic messy bun
This is an elevated messy bun that takes no time at all to complete. Start by making a top knot, leaving half your hair out. Simply wrap the remainder of hair around, pin it, and loosen.
2. The twisted ponytail
Let’s get real… Long hair in the summer sucks, but ponytails can get boring. Change it up by twisting two even sections around the ponytail. Pin underneath for a super chic look.
3. The twisted half ponytail
This is a super easy spin on the half ponytail. Rather than tying your hair back, take two, thin sections of hair, pull back, twist, and secure with an elastic. Repeat the technique five more times and voila!
4. The messy double bun
Get Beyoncé-level volume in a low bun! Split your hair into two sections and twist each part into a bun. Fasten with bobby pins and pull loose until it looks like one bun.
5. The half-up double bun
If you’re a fan of two buns or have short hair, try this half-up variation. It’s as easy as making two top knots, just remember to tease first for more volume. Miley Cyrus ain’t got nothin’ on you!
6. The braided messy bun
This trick will transform a basic bun into a braided creation. Put your hair up, leaving a section on one side out. Braid upwards and twist, pinning it around the bun.
7. The low bun for short hair
If you have short hair, don’t stress… Divide your hair into three even sections, twist, and pin into buns, making the middle bun slightly higher.

8. The classic ponytail with a braid
If you haven’t caught on yet, braids are literally a lazy girl’s savior. To do this pony variation, make a braid on one side, and then wrap it around your ponytail.
9. The easy beach waves
Mermaid waves are achievable without an ocean! Pull your hair into a high pony, and then use a iron to curl. Pull out the hair tie, and fix any face-framing pieces for beach goddess status.
10. The half-up flower bun
On days where you hit snooze 398405 times, throw your hair in a half pony, braid it, and wrap it into a bun shape. Once it’s pinned, pull it gently apart, and suddenly, you look like you’ve got your life together!
11. The braided half-up top knot
While we love half up top knots, they’ve grown a little stale. Add a french braid at the top of your head to make the trend a little more unique.
12. The faux fishtail braid
Trick everyone into thinking you went to cosmetology school with this simple trick! Grab two thin sections at a time, tie them off in the middle with an elastic, and repeat!
13. The fancy twist pony tail
Make a ponytail hella fancy by doing this twist variation. Pull your hair back into one ponytail, then wrap the remaining hair around it, pinning it in place.
14. The braided center part
Make your second day waves a little different by adding a braided center part. Create two small sections, dividing the small hairs with a comb. French braid and pin once you’ve reached the back.
