In the coming weeks, The Big Bang Theory will officially come to an end and to be frank, we’re emotional about it AF, and naturally, so is the cast.
It’s hard to believe that “The Big Bang Theory” has been around for 12 years.
By making it to 12 years, they’ve secured the ranking of the longest-running multicamera sitcom in TV history .

Earlier this week, the cast had their final table read of the entire series.
After working together for so long, the cast was more like a family — and knowing it’s all about to be over has made this a very emotional time for them.
For those of you that are unclear on what a table read is exactly, I’ll explain.
In the acting industry, the cast will sit around a table and read through the screenplay, practicing how the dialogue will go down when the cameras are rolling.
Kaley Cuoco shared this photo on Instagram of her script covered in tear-soaked Kleenex.
She captioned the photo: “Prepare yourselves…for a finale that has truly given me a loss for words. Our whole universe.”
She later posted this photo of herself crying moments after the table read concluded.

Melissa Rauch shared this adorable cast-mates group hug, right before the table read.
“Just because I haven’t flooded my face with enough tears during/after today’s final @bigbangtheory_cbs table read…here’s a pic of our pre-show huddle last night. I was always picked last for every team as a kid, so getting to be a part of a huddle ~ let alone this particular huddle has been extra special. I‘ll forever cherish these moments with my TBBT brothers and sisters,” she captioned the photo.
She also shared this stunning family photo of the entire gang with a heartfelt message on Instagram.
“About to go into our table read for the series finale written by this group of geniuses ~ AKA: the heart and soul of @bigbangtheory_cbs People often ask what the secret is behind the success of the show…well, it’s no secret…it’s the sheer brilliance of these incredible minds. Love them all so very much,” she wrote.
Johnny Galecki shared this solemn, sad-looking black and white photo in his Instagram story of himself sitting at the bottom of the stairs of his character’s apartment.

He also shared this photo of himself standing next to the incredible writers of the show.

Mayim shared this selfie of herself and Melissa Rauch, one of her fellow cast-mates, and a caption thanking her for their time together.
“This lady and I have been through a lot together as the new kids on the block of season 3 of @bigbangtheory_cbs . We have cried together and laughed together and raised kids on a set together. I couldn’t have made it without her with any semblance of sanity. Thank you”
She also shared this selfie of herself and Jim Parsons, explaining how this would likely be the very last time they shot outdoors together.
“We filmed what is likely our last outdoor scene yesterday … this was first thing in the morning and we both look a tad sleepy and my big ole face is too close to the camera but I wanted to share it anyway,” she wrote.
Jim Parsons also took to social media to let everyone know just how much he’s going to miss the show.

“To a group of people who have been way more than a ‘second team’ to us for the last 12 years . They are family! thank you for being the cast behind the scenes..slowly saying our goodbyes over the next few weeks and it isn’t getting any easier,” she wrote.
