Mariah Carey is no stranger to a beautiful, tropical vacation because hi, it’s Mariah Carey.
However, fans weren’t too impressed with the songstress after she posted a video of herself at a “dolphin academy” in Curaçao this past Monday.

Like the dedicated darling she is, Mariah has been keeping her fans updated on her travels via Instagram stories.
And it looks like Mimi made a trip to the Dolphin Academy in Curacao yesterday.
She posted this video of a dolphin kissing her cheek, which seemed innocent enough to many.
However, many fans were quick to point out that dolphins in “academies” like this are often mistreated and abused.
“Do you realize they suffer in captivity, right? They do look like they smiling but they are not…” wrote one concerned user.
“Animal cruelty!” wrote another.
“Dolphins in captivity is unnatural and can cause long term dire effects on the animal and most of them die early due to the stress and pressure that comes with captivity. You have a large audience and clearly influence a lot of people, please educate yourself on these matters,” wrote user @sbarakat99.
We’re sure Mimi wasn’t aware of these conditions, as most people aren’t. We just hope she learns from this and chooses not to support these kinds of establishments anymore!
