Are you one of these ladies who can’t live without the latest and greatest manicure style? I get it. There are so many amazing styles out there.
But, be careful what you wish for. It turns out not every nail artist is so skilled when it comes to pulling off these designs. These are all a far cry from what was expected, ha, ha!
1. This Frog Nail Art
I’m always intrigued by all those step-by-step tutorials that promise you results. But when it comes to doing your own nails, you may want to reconsider them. If they turn out like this, I wouldn’t even try.
2. This Complete Color Switch
So, this lady asked for a subtle ombré effect on her nails but she didn’t exactly get what she wanted. To begin with, how in the heck did she end up with a completely different color? This is just so bad.
3. This Gel Nails Disaster
“Get yourself gel nails, they’ll look really nice,” they said. Gee, thanks. Now, this woman is stuck with these horrible nails for how many months? I really do feel bad for this lady as she obviously got the short end of the stick here.
4. These Not-So-Fancy Nails
Was it too much to ask to recreate this look? I don’t think so. I mean, it doesn’t seem too complicated to me. Maybe she can just fix them at home herself? Am I right?

So this lady tried her own hand at applying gel nails for the very first time. It turns out, it’s not as easy as it may seem. I would have tried it with a lighter color at least, ha, ha!

Oh my, how pretty do these ombré nails look? This is such a gorgeous design. Well, at least that’s what the reference picture is. Whatever happened to the actual customer’s nails is a mystery to me.
7. This Christmas-Themed Failure
Would you pay someone money for this pitiful Christmas-themed nail job? I definitely wouldn’t. This, my friends, is something you could just do yourself. All you need is sparkly nail polish and just forget the nail salon altogether, ha, ha!

Oh my, talk about some show-stopping nails, huh? These look stunning, to say the least. Unfortunately, whoever tried to recreate this look must’ve failed at beauty school. What this girl ended up with isn’t even close.

I guess this person tried to do what the experts do but they forgot one important thing: They need a special tool in order to do it. Unfortunately, this result definitely doesn’t cut it. There are some things you have to leave to the professionals.

How does one end up with something as bad as this when all they wanted were pointy tips? OMG, I would be so pissed. This looks like a five-year-old did it with their eyes closed, ha, ha!
11. This Creative Attempt
This lady wanted to be creative and make a cute design. Well, when it comes to nails, it’s not as easy as you may think. I think it’s adorable but looks pretty amateur, to say the least.
12. This Octopus Manicure
Is this octopus manicure yay or nay for you? I’ve got to say as much as I love a good octopus, this is freaking me out a little bit. I don’t think I would ever get this done to my nails.
13. This Pitiful Nail Job
I think this picture says it all. Whoever attempted this nail job needs some serious help, lol. If they can’t even perfect something as easy as this, they need all the help they can get.

What the actual heck is going on here? Is this person serious? They must be joking or something like that. There is no way I would pay anyone to do my nails like this. Not in a million years.

Most nail techs are indeed artists when it comes to creating beautiful nails. Sadly, this one hasn’t earned her stripes yet, so she should keep practicing. Practice makes perfect. Am I right? Or am I missing something here?

I would not let this nail artist do my nails if she paid me $15. How is she charging for this mess? I don’t get it. It looks like she damaged someone’s nails, and that’s not good at all.

The next time you run to the nail salon, make sure you’ve got your expectations in check.
Either that or go with a technician that has stellar reviews, and good luck to you if dare to do your own fancy nails.
