Celebrity prenups are almost a requirement — after all, there’s a lot of money involved when two super-famous people get married.
Whether the details of the prenups are public or not, these celebrity couples allegedly have some crazy conditions in their marriages.
Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman
There’s two conditions that are reportedly in Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman’s prenup:
One, Urban will get $600,000 per year of their marriage if it ends in divorce.
However, if he uses illegal narcotics at any time, he gets no money whatsoever.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt
Angelina and Brad’s split involved a massive prenup, to the tune of $400-500 million, according to TMZ.
The couple apparently shared up to 12 properties together, according to documents from their prenup that was released.
Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux
The now-divorced couple had what a source described to US Weekly as an “ironclad” prenup.
“It would be very hard for Justin to contest it. The prenup talks before the marriage were long and intense,” a source apparently said.
Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom
“[…] when you have businesses together, like we do, you have to protect yourself. It doesn’t mean you don’t love them.” She said.
Her prenup was released in 2013, and it was revealed that she potentially received an extra $2 million for staying in her marriage for 4 years.
Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren
The divorce between Tiger and Elin was brutal.
Most of the details were kept private, but speculation cites that Elin received anywhere upwards of $100 million.
Their prenup was kept under wraps, but speculation indicated Elin may have been able to renegotiate due to Tiger’s massive infidelities.
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline
Britney and Kevin’s 2 year marriage ended in a divorce that mostly protected Britney’s assets.
However, she was still required to pay Kevin $20,000 a month in spousal support…and in 2018, he asked for that to increase.
How does one human go through $20,000 a month?!
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes
E! News dug deep into Tom and Katie’s divorce documents, and apparently they had a standard celebrity stipulation in it:
Katie was due money for each year they were married, plus a bonus at the 5 year mark.
Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas
Like Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake, it’s been reported that Catherine Zeta-Jones gets money if Michael Douglas cheats on her — a lot of money.
She would allegedly get $2.8 million for every year of their marriage, as well as a $5 million bonus.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk
The two made sure to have a prenup after being married previously, according to sources.
Considering Paltrow’s net worth is an estimated $140 million (Falchuk’s is about $25 million), that prenup must be pretty hefty.
Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller
Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller prenup became public knowledge in 2010.
Turns out, Brooke received $500,000 just for marrying Charlie. They were not entitled to each other’s salaries, but Brooke was entitled $300,000 a year for the first 10 years of their marriage.
She was also entitled to a $100,000 relocation fee in the case of divorce, which occurred in 2010.
Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan
While the details of Mark and Priscilla’s prenup are private ( rumor is that she may be entitled to half of his public Facebook earnings made post-wedding), a different agreement is public: their relationship agreement.
It apparently says, “One date per week, a minimum of a hundred minutes of alone time, not in his apartment and definitely not at Facebook.”
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
Sources close to the couple spilled that Kim will apparently get $1 million for every year that she and Kanye are married.
According to one source, “Kanye didn’t even think the couple needed a prenup, and was ready to give Kim carte blanche to all of his financial assets.”
This from the man who wrote “Gold Digger?” Oh man.
Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake
According to The New York Daily News , Jessica reportedly put a pretty important clause in their prenup:
If Justin cheats on her, she automatically gets $500,000. Tbh, that number should be higher if that ever happens.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z
Getting paid per kid? According to Business Insider , that’s allegedly exactly what’s in Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s prenup.
Bey will get paid $5 million per child. That’s $15 million for Blue Ivy, Rumi, and Sir Carter.
