Of all the lifestyle and cultural changes to come out of 2020, I don’t think anyone expected it would be the likely death of the bra as a ubiquitous part of women’s wardrobes.
Now, I don’t think that they’ll be entirely done away with. As a busty lady myself, having a bit of support for the girls makes sitting in an office chair for hours a bit more bearable.
However, the style of bra I may choose to wear will likely be very different.

Forget underwire, lace, and cute straps that aren’t embarrassing to have peak out a collar, but don’t perform their actual job.
In the just over six months since we switched to working from home full-time, I’ve worn a “proper” bra twice .
For essential errands and distanced social gatherings, a sports bra is more than fine.

Sure, it doesn’t make the girls look perky or fill out a cute blouse quite right, but it keeps them from flopping around under my t-shirt.
As long as they don’t fall down to bop me in the nose when I bend to pick something up, I’m happy.

Plus, autumn is here and winter is coming, so you know what that means? Hoodies and parkas that make going completely bra-free to the grocery store a liberating experience.
Ask me again in March 2021 and even the sports bras may be gone for good.
