Did you like scavenger hunts when you were a kid? I know I did. I’d fill my head with fantasies of being a treasure hunter unearthing some of the world’s most valuable artifacts.
As I’ve grown up, I’ve learned that you can treat life as a scavenger hunt whenever you want so long as you don’t have a goal in mind. Who knows what you’ll find! Like these people who stumbled across some truly bizarre things.
“These teal McDonald’s signs. Only one in the world. Sedona, AZ.”
I’m a big fan of this photo looking like it was taken behind the bushes in secret.
But really, this city has such a strict aesthetic code that they made McDonald’s bend to their will and change their sign from yellow to teal, afraid the yellow would disrupt the natural beauty.
“This tiny stop sign.”
I bet cops love sitting here. It’s like a speed trap but for running stop signs.
“This bumper sticker I passed walking in my neighborhood.”
It’s always good to be proud of your kids’ accomplishments, no matter how strange they are, and despite the fact that your kid is a cat.
“This Tree Looks Like It Got Trunk Replacement Surgery.”
That or it got too concerned with bulking up its branches that it skipped trunk day.
“This failed attempt at stealing a bike is almost an art piece.”
That looks like a busy street. You mean to tell me tens of people walked by, seeing someone trying to lift a bike over a sign it was locked to, then leave it there, and nothing happened?
“All the snails in my garden have converged onto a single tree.”
You have provided shelter and security for the Snail Mass. It is a guest in your garden now. Enjoy your time with Snail Mass.
“Found a 102 year old wheat penny. Looks like Lincoln is wearing shades.”
How is it possible that he looks so cool? He looks like he’d roll up in a sweet ride, lower his sunglasses at me, wink, then drive away.
“They didn’t cut the whole loaf.”
Get ready for the sandwich of a lifetime with that sucker on one side.
“Snail crawled into my mailbox and started eating my mail.”
Opening someone else’s mail is a crime, this snail is going to snail jail.
“My friend is that person from maths buying [a hundred loaves].”
The answer is probably what you expected, the bread is stale and he’s using it to feed pigs, but the image is still hilarious. No bags or boxes, just loose loaves.
“My donut has Bill Murray on it.”
Of all the celebrities they could put on a donut, Bill Murray? I’m not against it, just perplexed.
“Deer in Oklahoma enjoy motocross racing.”
Okay, and? It’s not nice to judge anyone for their hobbies.
“This wood knot looks like a spider and scared the life out of me.”
Better for it to scare you and be fake than scare you and be real!

I get it, it’s funny to clown on people who wear shorts in winter, but you realize this looks like the creepiest photo ever taken, right?

You’re lucky that you found anything this cool, most metal detecting hobbyists can’t say the same!
