The grey area really lies with panty liners — those pesky, thin little pads that I have a major love/hate relationship with.
Some people wear them on their lighter period days, some wear them every day, and some people never wear them.
Now, one OB/GYN is going viral for explaining the dangers of wearing one of these panty liners every single day.
In a video with over 11 MILLION views, Annie explained that people will often come to her with vaginal irritation with no visible symptoms of an infection.
Instead, the experienced OB/GYN can see these women have a defined line around the vulva, which is caused by wearing panty liners every day.
This habit can cause irritation and can develop into contact dermatitis.
For people who don’t like the feeling of discharge, Annie recommends “carrying a Ziploc bag with you in your purse” and changing underwear throughout the day.
The comments were filled with women who were thankful for the advice and were swapping tips.
