TikTok family influencer Hannah Hiatt has fallen under investigation following “numerous reports through Child Protective Services and police,” which were filed after she posted multiple videos that worried many of her followers.
The mommy influencer had previously gone viral for posting a video of herself cleaning the house and finding 17 dirty diapers around the home, which many found shocking.
Numerous reports were made against her

The creator Hannah Hiatt, whose TikTok handle is @hannah_bhiatt (previously @nursehannahbh) has had a slew of reports made to the police and Child Protective Services against her.
This comes after she shared a video where her son James seems to flinch and hide his face as his father walks towards him.
The mother is under open investigation

The Police Department in Ogden, Utah, has confirmed to People that “there is an open, active investigation into” Hannah Hiatt.
A spokesperson for the Police Department said, “There is a detective assigned to the case,” without elaborating any further on the matter.
The department explained why they started investigating

The spokesperson from the department explained that the investigation was initiated following numerous reports made to the police and to Child Protective Services.
The reports were regarding the video of Hannah Hiatt’s son James flinching and hiding his face after seeing her father walk towards him.
The TikTok video is now deleted

The video which prompted multiple reports to Child Protective Services and hundreds of comments from people concerned for the little boy’s safety has now been deleted from her account.
However, she posted a follow-up video on November 29 saying that her husband would never hurt their son.
Hiatt praised her husband in the video

In a video she posted following the concerned comments on her deleted one, Hiatt said that her husband is the “sweetest, nicest, kindest, most loving, most nurturing father in the entire world.”
Before adding, “In the video that you guys are all freaking out about, they’re just playing.”
She said her husband and son were playing a familiar game

Elaborating on the situation further, Hiatt said, “They’re always playing where they scare each other… that’s what they’re always doing.”
The mother said that her husband and son James were only playing, with the boy hiding his face allegedly being part of the game.
Hiatt continued to defend her husband

“Nothing’s going on. From the moment that my husband wakes up in the morning, to the second he goes to bed, he is only thinking about our children and our family and what’s best for us,” she added in the follow-up video.
The creator felt offended to be compared to another

The TikTok mommy posted another video a day later, on November 30, in frustration after many compared her to Ruby Franke, a YouTuber who was sentenced to prison earlier in the year as a result of four convictions of aggravated child abuse.
Hiatt said the comparison was “hilarious”

“The fact that I’m even being compared to Ruby Franke is absolutely comical,” Hiatt said in the video.
“It’s hilarious, really. We live in a world nowadays where people will turn nothing into something,” she added, before calling those concerned “desperate to become TikTok famous.”
Hiatt had previously gone viral for another video

Before this, Hiatt had faced criticism following a video she posted of herself cleaning up the house one month postpartum, counting 17 dirty diapers left around the place in 24 hours.
She faced backlash because of this video, where she admitted, “It’s embarrassing, I know.”
