You know about Sharpiegate, right? You have to know about Sharpiegate. Oh man, if you haven’t, you need to catch up fast. President Trump’s latest natural disaster-related gaffe has led to some glorious Twitter memes.
The president showed this map of Hurricane Dorian’s path.
It appears pretty unremarkable at first. But look closer. Look to the Florida Panhandle and into Alabama. As you can see, there’s a bulbous black line that’s been added on to the map.

Trump earlier asserted that Hurricane Dorian would strike Alabama. This wasn’t true, but rather than correcting himself, the president doubled down. It’s hard to know for sure, but it certainly looks like he used a black Sharpie to make the official forecast work with his erroneous prediction.

This is honestly just a slight exaggeration of what Trump actually did. Sure, it looks like a child drew it. But then again, couldn’t you say the same thing for the original image?

Trump’s long-promised border wall promises to be a multi-billion dollar boondoggle if it ever gets completed, which seems doubtful. Someone needs to show him this image and just tell him it’s done already.

Because of the specifics of the Electoral College, presidential elections are a complicated affair. It’s easy to forget that Hillary Clinton actually got more votes than Trump. This Sharpie job should make him feel a little better.
