If you’ve seen Tiger King — and I’m going to assume you have – then you probably remember watching Joe Exotic run for governor (and do alarmingly well?)
It has recently come to light that he DMd Marilyn Manson, asking him for endorsement.
It seems like the only thing getting us through quarantine has been the work of a completely unstable, gun-toting, mullet-sporting, drug-addicted YouTuber/fake musician/zoo keeper/amatuer politician who goes by the name Joe Exotic.
I can’t stress this enough. The world is going through a really, really tough time right now.
The documentary, ‘”Tiger King” has swept the nation, conveniently, right as we’re all stuck at home consuming literally any and all of Netflix’s content.
Even if you had no intention of ever watching a documentary about a possibly-insane Oklahoma zoo-keeper, I bet you watched it anyway.
I’m also betting it was eight cruel, appauling, stressful, deeply concerning and confusing hours of your life that you will never get back, ’cause SAME.
But it was worth it just to understand virtually every TK meme circulating the web rn.
Anyway, since “Tiger King” has gained so much popularity, people have been beginning to make connections between random celebs and the cast of the series.
For example, we now know that Shaquille O’Neal visited Joe’s zoo multiple times, purchased tiger cubs from him, and was even featured as a guest on his YouTube series, JoeExoticTV .
After receiving a ton of backlash for fraternizing with Joe, Shaq made a statement on the latest episode of his podcast, defending himself.
“I don’t harm tigers. I love tigers. I love white tigers,” he said .
“We go in [the G.W. Zoo], and it’s a beautiful place, and the character that was there was Exotic Joe.”
“We’re there, and I dropped some donations for the tigers’ foods and all that. We take pictures with tigers.”

“Then we go back another time and we found out that he’s involved with all the stuff,” he explained.
“And then, actually, I stopped going. Do I put donations to these zoos to help these tigers out? I do it all the time,” he said.

“Do I own tigers personally at my house? No. I was just a visitor. I met this guy. Not my friend,” he concluded .
We then discovered that Doc Antle was a major part of Britney Spears’ 2001 VMA performance.
He was the animal handler during Spears’ performance of “I’m a Slave 4 U.”
You know, the one with all the wild animals on stage, including a tiger and a python.
Brit, WYD? Smh.
Wild animals do not belong in captivity, let alone on stage at the VMAs.
FURTHERMORE, photos have surfaced of Britney sitting next to Carole Baskin in the audience.
We’re now learning that Marilyn Manson had an interaction with Joe Exotic when he was running for governor of Oklahoma.
All things considered, he did surprisingly well. It was actually alarming how well he did.
And while he was running, he decided to reach out to Marilyn via Instagram and ask him to endorse his campaign.
Btw, Marilyn is from Ohio.
Interesting choice, Joe, but okay.
“Hey. Thanks for the follow,” Joe’s message reads.

“I’m running for Governor of Oklahoma and trying to speak for the real people for a change and get some people help with addiction in this State that no one cares about.”
“Would you endorse me? Not asking for money. Just to use your name as an endorsement,” he concluded.

Fortunately, Marilyn was not interested in supporting Joe.
He shared Joe’s DM to his Instagram feed, along with the absolute mic-drop of a caption: “Nope. Don’t [Expletive] With Cats.”
Shout out to Marilyn Manson for sticking up for the animals in captivity.
What do you think of Joe Exotic’s DM to Marilyn Manson, asking him to endorse him as governor of Oklahoma?

Better yet, what do you think of Marilyn’s response?
