Ah, nothing like a double standard in Hollywood, amirite?!
Truly, few things are as quintessentially Tinseltown as an age-gap relationship being judged by people who know nothing about it!
American Horror Story actress Sarah Paulson knows better than anyone how mean people can be about a relationship with a significant age gap and now, she’s speaking out about it!
Sarah Paulson is truly one of the best actresses of our generation.

Known best for her work on American Horror Story since 2011, Sarah has also starred in Ocean’s 8 and American Crime Story .
I know, right? We love to see it!
Recently, Sarah chatted with *The Guardian* about life, love, and her desire to never grow up!
Although she moved to LA when she was 21, Sarah admitted she never wanted to call the infamous city her home.
“Even when I moved here, I wanted an apartment, I didn’t want a house,” the 45-year-old explained.

“I rented apartment after apartment until I finally bought a house, which I guess was really a way of saying, ‘I live here now.'”
In 2017, however, the actress decided it was time to lay some roots.

“There was something about it that felt too grown-up to me,” she admitted .
She went on to mention an actor friend of hers who invested every bit of money she earned in property. “I was just not interested in that at all. When I look back at it, I must have been really resisting the idea of growing up.”
You and me both, Sarah!
As many Sarah fans know, the 45-year-old has been in a loving and committed relationship with fellow actress Holland Taylor since 2015.
The pair share a 32-year age gap as Holland is 77 years old.
Of course, people on the internet LOVE to hate on age-gap relationships, especially when it involves an older woman!
Speaking with *The Guardian*, Sarah compared her relationship to that of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, who have 25 years between them.

“I don’t remember people going nuts about Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones. For me, that seems to be the predominant interest in my relationship with Holland, what would be perceived by some as the strangeness of it, or the unlikelihood of it. I think people are fascinated by it, because it’s so not typical,” the actress explained .
“Except for if you look around at plenty of well-known or recognisable couples, when they’re heterosexual couples, it just runs rampant, and I don’t see anybody becoming obsessed by those relationships.”
Sarah went on to say that she hopes her not-so-typical relationship helps other couples in the same situation.
“If it allows for more freedom, in terms of the way people think about what’s possible for them, then I’m all for the fandom of it and the excitement around it and the interest in it.”
She continued: “What I don’t love, which is sort of a consequence of it being such public knowledge, is that there is discussion about it at all.”
“Believe me, there have been plenty of young people on the internet who have tweeted horrifying things to me about it, and who don’t support it and who are so cruel,” she explained.

“So it’s just a bit of a dance. But one I try to not let into my brain too often.”
Sarah explained how she and Holland are both independent and live life by their own rules.

“We spend more time together than apart, but we do have several nights a week where we’re talking to each other like this [she gestures at the screen] and we get to do what we want, when we want. Both of us are exceedingly independent people,” Sarah explained.
It’s clear to me that they’re one of the most adorable and loving couples in Hollywood and everyone needs to GET WITH THE PROGRAM!
Thankfully, Sarah and Holland have a large Twitter fanbase who truly love and adore their every move, as they DESERVE!
