You know how it goes: sometimes you’re just out there, doing nothing but living your life, when all of a sudden you find something strange. Sure, it could be cool, but chances are it’s probably just weird.
These people found some pretty strange, interesting, and cool things while simply minding their own business. And as one does, they shared them with the rest of us.
“This laminated paper sign has turned into a bag full of water.”
The upside to lamination is that it keeps your paper from getting stained or damaged by water. But I guess it isn’t foolproof. If I were this person, I’d probably just back away slowly and pretend I saw nothing.
“The way the trees at my work have been grown.”
I think there’s, like, a method people use to make tree trunks look like this. It probably takes years and years, but at least it looks super cool. And I don’t know why, but I feel like I’d probably want to try sticking my hand in one of the wholes if I ever found a tree like this.
“A tree stump in my yard grew four different types of fungi.”
Usually, you’ll find one kind of fungus on a stump, or maybe like a big cluster on a tree trunk. But these are four very distinct kinds of fungi on a single stump. They look like they’re having a fungus convention.
“I bought a $14K staircase today and it came with a little example model.”
I appreciate the fact that the people who are making this expensive staircase decided to include a mini copy. It’ll give this person something to stare at while they wait for their stairs to be usable.
“100+ Year old Clam from the Great Barrier Reef.”
I appreciate the use of banana for scale because I would’ve assumed it was a regular-sized clam. But no. It’s probably bigger than a small child, and that’s saying something. Wouldn’t want to encounter that thing in the ocean.
“This unopened ‘Scroll Mouse’ designed for Windows 95/98.”
I wonder if there’s, like, a market for super old, unopened computer mice. Could you put this on eBay and expect to get thousands of dollars in bids for it? Or is it as useless as Windows 95 and 98 in 2021?

The bag of dice is weird enough (but cool! It looks like you could play a full D&D game with that set), but what’s even weirder is the bar of soap. It looks like a chocolate bar. I don’t think I’d want to use that in the shower.

So basically, this one slice of bread is actually three slices of bread. It also kind of looks like one wall of a bread castle, which is something I could definitely get behind.
“I’ve found and bought this random old plushie that looks like my cat.”
It’s pretty strange how this person was able to find a cat plush with markings that are almost identical to their actual cat’s. Let’s be real, though, the actual cat looks way better.
“Raisin Bread Came with Mini Slices of Multigrain Toast Baked Into It – Crust & All.”
It’s one thing for, like, a piece of whole wheat bread to have a bit of white bread on it. But these two pieces of bread couldn’t be any more different. One of them has raisins , after all.
“My bank sent me 64 copies of the same debit card.”
I’d love to know what happened at this person’s bank on the day that they sent out these 64 debit cards. Either some kind of system error occurred, or someone was having a really bad day.
“A shell my parents found on the beach that looks like a human brain.”
I hate the fact that so many shells, rocks, and other beach things look like other things. Especially when those other things are kind of gross, like human brains. I’d probably have a mini heart attack if I found this.
“This decorative cover for a pointy roof.”
Sure, this is one awesome way to decorate your house for the holidays, but… where do you get a giant Santa hat like that? Is it a custom order or something? Inquiring minds need to know!
“4 uncut $2 bills.”
Finding a two-dollar bill is definitely an uncommon occurrence, but finding four of them at once is downright rare. I don’t know what the odds of finding them all still stuck together are, but it can’t be that high, either.
“My hotel phone in Iceland has a special button that will wake you up if there are northern lights in the sky.”
This is so weird, but it also makes so much sense. If you’re visiting a place like Iceland, you won’t want to miss the northern lights. That’s a weather phenomenon most of us won’t get to see on any old day.
“The way my roommate has decided to ‘wall mount’ his Switch.”
I mean, sure, that’ll work. You’ll probably have to sit real close to that wall mount to see the screen, but it’s doable. Hooking it up to a TV or monitor would probably be better, though.
“Found an illusion in the wild. Only difference between these two photos is how far away I was when I took them.”
This literally just looks like two different rooms in the same building. It’s amazing how a slightly different angle can change so many things in a photo. Even if it is a little confusing.
“A very Texas car. Spotted in the suburbs of North Texas.”
I think this car would’ve been even funnier if it was found anywhere but Texas. Like, imagine if it was in Peru or something. Or Finland. Comedy gold right there.
