Kate Beckinsale had fans concerned when she posted a series of pics that showed herself bruised and bloody. The 49-year-old actress is a social media queen, always entertaining her followers with anything from cat fashion to her daily shenanigans.
This time around, the British babe had fans worrying, with photos that looked like she seriously hurt herself.

Bruised And Bloody
Beckinsale’s usual funny posts were interrupted by a series of pics that showed her looking injured and fans couldn’t help but worry.
In the first photo, Kate lifted her shirt up to display a sort of corset harness. The following pictures showed a close-up look at some hand bruises. In one photo, Kate’s face had bloody cuts on the cheek and lip.
“TGIF,” she captioned the post.
Fans Were Worried
With no further explanation of how she got the injuries, fans were quick to think that she got hurt. Many, however, caught on that it was all just makeup and props. Kate did tag an SFX makeup artist in one of the pics, subtly hinting that this was all for a movie. Followers got super excited about the possibility of another Underworld film and took to the comment section to hype up the star.
“What the hell happened?!” one fan commented.
“Prepping for another Underworld movie?? ,” another one said.
A New ‘Underworld’ Movie?
The popular dark fantasy series features Beckinsale as Selene, an elite vampire warrior who finds herself in the center of an age-old feud between vampires and Lycans. Despite mixed reviews from critics, the highly successful franchise birthed five movies and amassed a cult following.
While the saga ended with Underworld: Blood Wars in 2016, many fans are still pushing for a sixth installment. Beckinsale seems to have moved on from her death-dealing ways.
“I wouldn’t return. I’ve done plenty of those,” she told Variety back in 2018. She later changed her tone and said she was interested in an Underworld-Blade crossover.
” I really wanted them to do an Underworld-Blade mashup. What a duo that would be. I would definitely do that,” she said in an interview.
Beckinsale’s New Film
The future of the Underworld franchise remains unclear but Kate is definitely not done with action flicks! Her “injuries” are likely from filming her latest movie – Canary Black , a spy thriller directed by Pierre Morel.
According to IMDb , the movie ” follows Avery Graves as she is blackmailed by terrorists into betraying her own country to save her kidnapped husband”.
With all her training and an amazingly fit body, this seasoned action star will for sure nail her scenes!
