We all sometimes wish we could make some extra coin here and there, but what are the lengths we’re willing to go to in order to do so? It would depend on the person, but some openly share their limits with the world.
One woman started a business selling farts online, and has made a good amount of money doing so.
The art of the side hustle has exploded in popularity.

Especially over the last year. People across the world have picked up secondary jobs, gigs to earn them a bit of extra money and leave them more secure financially.
Some side hustles are common, being a part-time delivery driver or selling a craft, while others are more…unique.
Meet Lush Botanist, the self proclaimed “Fart Queen of the Internet.”
Her journey began about three years ago, she revealed in a documentary for Britain’s Channel 4. It started with her using social media like most of us do, when someone contacted her and asked her to fart on camera. She decided to fulfill that request, and that video wound up becoming one of her most popular ones to date.
Once that video was posted, she got someone else offering her money to do it again.
“I kept getting requests over and over,” she said. “I thought, ‘You know what? People will pay me for this and I’m going to do it.'”
And thus her new branding begun, spreading across her Instagram, Twitter, and Reddit accounts where she advertises to potential new customers.
She has a special trait that makes her able to do so many videos in one day.
And that trait is being lactose intolerant. If she eats anything containing dairy, it creates a storm in her stomach that’s perfect for creating gas.
She said her favorite thing to eat before shoots is cheese, and even credits different types of cheeses to creating different types of farts.
This is a side gig, right?
So, how much is she making?
Lush says she can charge up to $175 per recorded fart, and the most she’s made in one day is close to $4000.
She guessed she’s made about $25,000 total since starting her business.
She doesn’t only sell videos, though.
She’s expanded to some physical products as well that get mailed to buyers. These include jars that she’ll pass gas into before sealing up and shipping off, and so-called “fart lollipops.”
Those are pretty much what they sound like — the customer picks a lollipop flavor, she farts on it, then sends it to them to enjoy at their own leisure.
While it’s far from the most conventional business, there’s no denying the success she’s had.
She’s offering a product and people are willing to buy it, so good for her for making the most out of this talent.
She credits her success to actually enjoying her work. She enjoys the farting process and her customers like watching it, it’s a win for everyone involved.
