You can barely shop at Sephora without taking out a loan first, and getting a spa treatment is so expensive that it’s now a once-in-a-lifetime event reserved for your parents on their 50th wedding anniversary.
Suffice to say, I don’t blame anybody for cutting corners at home.
Not everyone is down to pay $32 for a Beauty Blender.
I mean, why bother when you can buy a paint sponge at the dollar store? Just tear off the handle and you’re on your way!
Sure, it’ll feel a little rough on your skin. But application and exfoliation for a dollar? Can’t beat it.
While you’re at it, why not visit the hardware store?
Going au naturel is great, but sometimes you’re in the mood for full coverage.
If there’s no makeup sponge in sight, rummage through your dad’s toolbox for a trowel. Then smooth out your foundation like you’re filling cracks in a wall.
