There are those folks who prefer to buy things that are already made and then there are those who thrive on creating something virtually from scratch.
I truly admire those who can DIY with the best of them. I consider myself a creative person but when it comes to making something from nothing I tend to hesitate. Fortunately, these people didn’t and they made something really fabulous.
1. This Dress
Some people spend a ton of money on new clothes and others make their creations out of magazine covers. I can’t get over all the beautiful details on this corset top. You can see many encouraging words there, too.
2. This Suit
I always wish that I knew how to sew better. I could save so much money by shopping for clothes less. This lady was able to make a whole chic suit out of these curtains and I’m pretty floored.
3. This TV Stand
Who knew that you can turn an old cabinet like this one into the coolest TV stand I’ve seen. I really like the barn inspiration for it here. The coat of white paint does it justice, too.
4. This Scary Mug
If you’re looking for something really unique this Halloween I think this mug somebody made could be it. I would totally display it amongst all my various Halloween decorations I have gathered around my house. I absolutely love it.
5. This Custom-Built Kid’s Fort
Aww, what a sweet dad. He actually built his son a custom DIY fort like this one. That looks like it would be loads of fun. This little guy is such a lucky one.
6. This DIY Firepit
There’s nothing cooler than having a firepit in your backyard. Am I right? But wouldn’t be even cooler if you had one that looked like that? I gotta say it looks a little like a tombstone to me but I like it.
7. This Drawing
I honestly thought I was looking at a picture of a cat until I found out this was actually done with colored pencils. All I can say is, wow! This person is truly talented. Don’t you think?
8. These Roller Skates
I used to be an avid roller skater back in the day. I literally wore out my first pair of skates. I might be biased here but these are bringing some sweet childhood memories here, hee, hee.
9. This ‘Optimus Prime’ Costume
Here’s a fun way to use all those Amazon Prime delivery boxes, ha, ha. If you have a child you may consider doing something like that. It doesn’t look too difficult, if I may add.
10. This Halloween Door
I recently told you guys about some cool Halloween decorations folks have done but I’ve never seen one like this before. They made it using an insulation sheet from Home Depot, peel and stick wallpaper, and wood paint. Wow, that’s so unique.
11. This Chicken Coop
When your dream is to have a chicken coop naturally you make one yourself, no? This person was lucky enough to get some extra space in their parents’ backyard to make their dream come true here.
12. This Under-The-Stairs Cat Litter Cubby
This person who’s a cat lover wasn’t really loving the cat litter smell. So they came up with an awesome solution to hide their kitty’s litter box by creating this under-the-stairs cat litter cubby. Our cat would be so impressed.
13. These Stuffed Animals
Oh my goodness, aren’t these stuffies the cutest thing you’ve ever seen? This lady started making them when the pandemic started and now she has not one but eleven cute babies. Aww, I want one of these.
Isn’t it so cool to see how creative some people can get?
