At the start of the year, everyone was looking forward to 2020 because some of our favorite holidays were going to fall on weekends. When we all saw the calendar way back in 2019, people were excited to get some time to do the things they loved.
However, little did we know, the world would stop in 2020 due to a global pandemic. The coronavirus pandemic has halted our plans, our dreams, and many of our desires to celebrate holidays with everyone we know and love.
One holiday everyone was looking forward to was Halloween.

Halloween, falling on a weekend this year, had every parent and child excited to finally get some time to dress up and take photos. Of course, people were looking forward to having extra time to trick-or-treat, too.
With COVID-19, it’s hard to say whether everyone will want to go to people’s homes and knock on doors.

With everyone staying six feet apart and social distancing, it’s hard to imagine a world in which people would still go door to door and take candy from strangers.
At first glance, one would assume that parents are “calling off” Halloween this year.

With so many parents opting for schools to stay closed, it’s almost second nature to assume that they wouldn’t want their children going out and about with others for trick-or-treating.
Quarantine has had us surrounding ourselves with only our close friends and family.

As it turns out, some parents aren’t totally writing off celebrating Halloween despite the fact that there has been an ongoing global pandemic. Although we have been extremely cautious, everyone wants some time to celebrate, too.
According to a new survey, the majority of moms across the country are actually planning to celebrate Halloween with their kids this year.

Insight To Action , a market segment analysis firm, conducted a nation-wide survey to assess whether parents planned on celebrating Halloween with their children this year — and an overwhelming amount reported that they are.
In fact, 70% of moms said they plan on celebrating with their children.

Despite the ongoing global pandemic, 70% of mothers decided that they are going to celebrate Halloween with their kids. They also reported that they would be purchasing a Halloween costume for their kids, too.
Some parents are coming up with unique ways to celebrate.

Moms across the country are reporting some interesting ways to trick-or-treat, like having decorated cars and doing “drive-by” activities across the neighborhood.
As well, 46% of mothers reported they plan to do some form of trick-or-treating.

Whether it’s going door-to-door to family members’ homes or attempting to do the whole neighborhood as per usual, some parents say they are still planning to take their kids out and about to trick-or-treat.
It seems that at the end of the day, many parents are looking to have some sort of normalcy for their kids.

Between quarantine, social distancing, and the ongoing anxiety that comes with the coronavirus pandemic, it seems as though some parents are looking for ways to maintain normalcy for their children — no matter how hard it is.
