Goddess and actress Halle Berry knows exactly what I’m talking about, which is why she picked the 2021 Oscars to debut her new chopped ‘do!
However, a lot of you guys didn’t like it, and she has NOTICED!
Halle Berry is one of the most beautiful women in the world.
While Halle has always experimented with her looks, she’s been rocking beautiful long hair recently!
However, the 54-year-old just surprised fans at Sunday night’s Oscars by debuting her cropped cut!
In retrospect, we should have seen this coming…
Hours before she hit the red carpet on Oscar Sunday, Halle shared a picture of CHOPPED HAIR ON THE FLOOR!
She was trying to emotionally prepare us.

A few hours later, Halle posted a series of photos from her backyard photoshoot with her new ‘do and her stunning Dolce and Gabbana gown.
Of course, Halle looks beautiful no matter what, so I’m not surprised she’s pulling this off!
In addition to debuting her new haircut, she also debuted her new MAN on the red carpet.
Halle was snapped with musician boyfriend Van Hunt on the red carpet for the first time and fans were obsessed with the totally gorgeous couple!
As true Halle fans know, she and short hair have had a very long history together.
Back in 2002, Halle became the first Black performer to win the Academy Award for Best Actress, taking home the golden statue for her performance in Monster’s Ball.
Footage of Halle from that night is almost as iconic as her embellished Elie Saab dress and her short, pixie cut.
Now — the short ‘do, the Oscars, and Halle are back for a reunion tour!
Fans were immediately speechless as Halle’s haircut went viral on social media.
“I absolutely loved that look. Just perfect! I love that hairstyle on you,” tweeted one fan.
“You looked amazing, love this look! Very luxe avant-garde,” agreed another .
However. some fans didn’t love the chop and took to social media to roast it.
“I’m not feeling Halle Berry’s bob at all,” tweeted one user. “It doesn’t fit her face. If it were longer then yes but the length at which they did it not my fav. She definitely took a risk though so I commend her for that.”
Some people went so far as to compare it to Johnny Depp’s *Willy Wonka* look.
“Halle berry’s dress as fine as hell but that johnny depp willy wonka dora the explorer lord farquaad coconut head [expletive] hairstyle is not doing it bro,” joked one fan.
Now, Halle is responding to those of you who don’t appreciate her ~artsy~ hairdo in the best way possible —by poking fun at herself.
I have always said that being able to laugh at yourself is so important. and Ms. Berry just proved me right!
Replying to a fan’s tweet making fun of her hair, she reacted with a laughing emoji and a ~weary~ emoji because we know she’s got a good sense of humour!
As if I needed another reason to adore Halle!
