Game of Thrones has been over for a week now, but HBO gave us one last thing to soothe the pain.
The Last Watch aired, and it had a lot of us in tears, including poor Kit Harington.

Let’s take a quick look through time.
Dany and Jon didn’t have much time together, but they fell in love rather quickly.
Jon was loyal to her, and off screen, Kit adored Emilia and vice versa.
The actors were adorably close.
Kit reflected on the first time he met Emilia to Esquire , saying, “I remember the first time I ever saw her. I had been talking to Rich Madden at the bar and he went, ‘I’ve just met the new Daenerys. She’s gorgeous.’ And I was like, ‘Really? I haven’t met her yet.’”
His reaction to seeing her is probably friendship goals.
“And then she came in and I saw her and was like, ‘Wow.’ She takes your breath away when she walks into a room, Emilia,” Kit continued. They became fast friends, bonding over their similar character arcs on the show and their similar senses of humor.
Then everything went terribly once Dany decided to burn King’s Landing.
Jon was against it, of course, but Dany did what she wanted to do.
It broke a lot of hearts.
Fans had a lot of reactions.
Some people saw her behavior as justified or foreshadowed and they rooted for Dany to make like her father and “burn them all!” Others thought she could’ve stood to show a bit more mercy.
But there was one reaction to Daenerys’ actions that was more important than anyone else’s.
Fans were incredibly curious to see how Jon was going to react to Dany’s heel turn, and whether or not he would continue to support her as his queen. It looked like maybe he would — but then, tragically, Jon Snow did what he knew he had to do.
Then came her final fate.
Jon had to bring the final blow to both viewers and Dany by stabbing her in the heart.
But if it makes you feel better, Kit was just as sad as we were.
Once this started to make its way over the internet for those who weren’t watching live, you better believe it broke Twitter apart.
Emilia’s face was also pretty notable.
Emilia is particularly famous for her expressive face (particularly her brows) and goofy faces, and her response across the table to Kit was both heartbreaking and hilarious.
I’m sure it helped break the tension a little bit.
Fans were evenly split between laughing at Emilia’s reaction to Kit and being heartbroken over how obviously touched and upset Kit was over the news of what happens between him and Dany.
Fans collectively lost their minds over the emotion that Kit showed.
We love a man who is not afraid to show his emotions!
And the fact that he was seriously shocked and bothered by having to kill Dany made us all feel better.
It overwhelmed us all.
We’re literally going to be thinking about this for the rest of our lives.
It was heartbreaking to see happen, but seeing him cry made the death worse.
But there was one more moment that had fans crying.
Damn it Kit, you’re just that good!
When saying goodbye to the crew, Kit gave a beautiful speech of thanks.
