Tattoo artist and former makeup brand owner Kat Von D has been under fire ever since she made some questionable comments about vaccines back in 2018.
Now, she’s setting the record straight once and for all.
As you might recall, the tattoo mogul made the controversial Instagram post while she was six-months pregnant.

It was pretty clear Kat seemed anti-vaxx when she wrote : “If you don’t know what it’s like have people around you think you are ridiculous, try being openly vegan. Try being an openly pregnant vegan on Instagram, having a natural, drug-free home birth in water with a midwife and doula, who has the intention of raising a vegan child, without vaccinations.”
Naturally, this bold statement caused massive uproar from her fans who disagreed with her decision.

This lead to Kat making an apology video that many fans thought was a ploy to save her makeup brand’s reputation.
Now, nearly two years since the original anti-vaxx post, Kat is clearing the air.

Speaking with the LA Times she said: “I was six months pregnant at the time, and I was still trying to figure out my birthing plan to have my son. And, at the time, I made a completely thoughtless post on my Instagram on whether or not I would vaccinate my son. And, because of it, people think I’m something that I’m not.”
She continued: “But the truth is, I’m not an anti-vaxxer at all. I just made a mistake, and I was completely uninformed. It was stupid, and I really shouldn’t have opened my big mouth on the subject.”
